OEM Original Replacement For Sloan C-100500-K Flushmate Cartridge/PowerFlush Toilet Piston Cartridge Parts for Use with 500, 501, 501A, 501B, 503, and 504 Series Flushmate Tank System (1)

We had a Flush mate toilet installed in our new addition of our home. It worked ok at first. However, it rapidly begun to run continuously. After adjusting the valve a few times, the toilet would not flush with any power. It would take 2 to 4 flushes to clear out the bowl.Install was simple. Fit perfectly. Made the necessary adjustments. Then tested the flush.After installing this valve, it flushed with more pressure and force than when it was new.

When my Power Flush lost it OUMPH I was worried. Before I hire a plumber to replace it I'll try this replacement kit. I didn't even get my hands wet. Watched a couple You Tube videos. "Piece of Cake". Works like new.

Excellent replacement cartridge! When i removed the original other than this one being newer you can tell it was oem quality. It also came with the little duckbill pressure relief valve and a screen. Nice bonuses. I hadn't planned on replacing the pressure relief valve and I'm glad this came with it.Pressure of the toilet flushing is amazing. As far as i remember i don't ever remember it flushing so well. I have a feeling it was overtightened years ago and as the cartridge wore out it just kept getting worse i honestly thought the weak flush was just a function of these water saving toilets.

To say that plumbing problems are not my bailiwick is an understatement BUT I couldn't have a toilet that wouldn't flush so I was motivated to figure it out. I wanted an original Sloan replacement cartridge because I've heard some of the off brands are poor quality. I installed this yesterday. The instructions and everything you need are right in the package, and Sloan themselves have several videos on YouTube and the whole procedure is quite straight-forward. You do need something that will fit in the grooves of the cartridge to uninstall the old cart, and put in the new one and that's sold separately (or you can use a plumber's wrench like I did if you have one). Just take it slow and easy and it's a relatively easy repair and you'll be set to go and save significant money vs calling a plumber. So no telling how long this cartridge will last. I believe the original one from when the pump was initially installed lasted 3-4 years (?). So if this is something that needs to be done once every few years vs having to replace the whole thing like I thought I might have to do (and which I certainly would not be able to do myself), that's not too bad at all 👍🏾

Update 1/2/2024:I installed this cartridge a few days ago. Two days later I wanted to check on it, so I took the lid cover off and did a flush, and noticed that a bit of water was spraying out of the center actuator when it flushed. It was not doing this when I installed it, as I left the lid off a day to make sure it didn't need any adjustments. So 48 hours it now has water spraying out of the center actuator each flush. I contacted the seller about this and got a reply. They said it is a genuine Flushmate cartridge, just that the package changed in 2022 and no longer says made in USA, but I stead has the address of where it's made in Michigan. They also said that water should not be spraying out of the center, so they worked with me to replace it. Hopefully the new one will work and not have this same issue. So it is good customer service from the seller and is a OEM Flushmate cartridge, but still the quality of the Sloan Flushmate company making it isn't good like they use to be, as a brand new cartridge should not have a defect right out the package.------------Original review.I have a Kohler toilet with the Sloan Flushmate 503 factory installed. I've been using it since 2007.For the first 8 years I had no problems and then started to have issues with the original cartridge running and filling with water at random times. I adjusted the cartrage and it fixed it for a while, but continued to happen. I called Flushmate and they sent out a free replacement cartridge. Installed it and no problems. Fast forward to 2020 and the Flushmate 503 bladder started to leak, had several pinhole leaks. I called back and they said there was a manufacturing defect recall and would send out a free replacement. I had to take the entire tank apart, remove the entire Flushmate 503 and installed the new one. Right away it seemed like it wasn't flushing as strong, like there wasn't as much "pressure". But it still worked. Then about a year later in 2021, that cartridge started to go bad with having to press it several times to flush. When I took it out, the actuator spring was very loose and the bottom was falling apart. Flushmate said there was no warranty and if have to buy a new cartridge. I bought one from Amazon that was a different listing than this one, and it was a genuine Flushmate cartridge, package said Made in USA with the Flag next to it. It lasted a little over a year until the end of 2022 and needed replaced. I went back to that listing, but that listing showed it was no longer in stock. I bought this one, and since then I've had to replace it twice, they are only lasting about 5-7 months before going bad. The packages "look" like the Flushmate package, but it NO LONGER says Made in USA on the package with the flag...it doesn't say where it is made. Also, the "top cap" that screws on the cartridge stem doesn't say "Flushmate" in white letters, but this one is black letters (see pictures). So I have no idea if this is a real genuine Flushmate cartridge or not, or where it's made. All I know is that they are only lasting several months before going bad.

Good fit & work perfectly. My model is M-101526-F3, series 503.Recommended.

The valve works well. Buy the "Original" version. The aftermarket replacements do not work well, and fail to last.
