A superb cookbook.....8 reasons to buy this book!
I cannot recommend this book highly enough, for these honest reasons:-1. The book is a good size, and contains very attractive, inspiring, easy to follow recipes with great pictures.2. The book contains a theory section at the front which explains clearly the health benefits of following Atkins, in a way which is easy to read and understand.3. The book provides you with a long list of things you CAN eat, which is so much more beneficial than giving you (like most diets do) a long list of things that you cannot eat.4. The book is ideal for beginners of Atkins, and also suitable for those in the other stages, right through to the 'lifetime maintenance' phase.5. The book is sectioned well. Recipes are divided into:- a) Breakfast & Brunch b) Starters, Soups & Salads c) Main courses - INCLUDING pasta & vegetable sections as well as meat & poultry d) Puddings & Cakes e) Entertaining6. The book is very UK friendly - unlike a lot of low-carb cookbooks. The measurements are all UK measurements & the recipes contain ingredents which can easily be bought here in English shops7. Each recipe provides you with "net carbs per serving", which is really helpful information & helps you to keep track of exactly how many carbs you are consuming per day.8. Perhaps the most important reason to buy the book - the recipes are INTERESTING, VARIED and TASTY! I am quite a keen cook, and found this book honestly very inspiring indeed. I have worked my way through possibly three quarters of this book and the food has succeeded in a) keeping me motivated & interested in following Atkins, and b) in satisfying the family at meal times.

Delicious and effective
The recipes in this book use lots of ingredients I've never tried before, so it has drastically widened the range of foods I eat. I have to say that so far they have all been delicious. I'm in the Induction phase for 2 weeks, which is outlined on page 26 with suggested menus for 6 days, although you can use any recipes in the book as long as you stay within your daily carb allowance (given for each recipe).Using the suggested menus I can see the weight falling off every day. Unlike other diets I've tried, I don't feel hungry at all using the suggested menus. The calories are given in the book, but I'm not calorie counting - just eating when I feel hungry and stopping when I don't.I still can't quite believe how I can have chocolate bars (Atkins), cream, cheese and fat and still lose weight, but the proof stares me in the face when I get on the scales. I feel great, and am no longer tired and bloated all the time. I am looking forward to moving onto the other phases when the time is right. I have to say I don't really miss sugar and carbs at all, and I can still get my sweet tooth fix on this diet. It's a way of life for me now, the downside to eating too many carbs and sugar is a price too high to pay.

Handy
I started Atkins in 2012 and have lost 3 stone. I bought this book for recipe ideas as I find the savoury stuff easy but the sweet stuff I miss. This book has offered me 4 recipes for cakes/biscuits, which I use reguarly. It doesn't sound a lot but it has been a great help. The book is a handy reference for recipes, with pictures, carbs per portion, although I think they use mice as a guide. The peanut cookies are supposed to make 40, but I tend to end up with about 22-24, but they are nice, more softer than normal biscuits, but you dont feel too guilty eating 2 or 3. I bought a second hand copy for about £4 incl postage, so definately worth it. Good luck with the diet, it does work!

Helpful if you need help!
Like many diet cookbooks this one seems to think that you really want to feed 4 or more people with the recipes, whereas I don't want to have to keep dividing the ingredients to accommodate my personal needs (for 1 most of the time). Some nice ideas, nevertheless, and if you're totally incapable of creating your own recipes to comply with the rules of the diet, then it's going to be very handy. Since I've had it, I have looked at it a couple of times but haven't needed to use any of the recipes. If you need healthy low carb recipes then this is a good place to find them.

great, apart from the huge quantities
the book worked for me, better than a regular diet book would. the only drawback was that all the quanities seemed to be for at least 4 people, or more. a lot of dieters want smaller scale recipes and some of these didnt scale down at all well. if the book stuck to i or 2 people ammounts throughout it would have been so much better rather than chopping and changing - but as said its the best diet ive ever tried as it let me avoid the whole counting calories approach [never works as i dont bother] but with this i lost 12 kg, and so did a friend

good recipies but a little outdated
hmmmm ... I suppose the recipies might be useful but some of the dietry advice in it about atkins has moved on (i found out this afterwards) for eg . in the book it says you can have half an advocado ,, a few tablespoons of lemon juice, and a few other bits and pieces oh yeah something like 100 ml of cream or something ON TOP of your daily allowance of 20 g carbs ... apparently thats all changed now. which is fair enough because the science and studies around low carb high fat keto diets are evolving ... all im saying is that because there is the word 'new' in the title its actually not the newest version of atkins ... but all the reciepies would still be useful .. so i just need to shut up

Great recipe book
You do have to be prepared to follow all recipes. I haven't lost much on Atkins unfortunately even though I stuck with it 100% for 5 weeks. Only a few pounds lost. Didn't quite worth it for me but it is a great recipe book and helps re-educate about portion size, healthy fats, foods allowed, etc. There is a misconception you can eat all kinds of fats and as much as you want on Atkins. Not quite true... These are very healthy recipes, not much oil at all. Meat portions are also not big so not much danger there. I found the choice of vegetables somewhat limiting but that was to be expected. You can get all vitamins and minerals from supplements as there isn't much nutrition in any of the foods we eat anyway...
