Shiny lid, and beautiful dual handle skillet. I cooked in this skillet for the first time this morning. I made eggs. They came out perfectly. Temperatures were evenly distributed and clean up was a breeze. I only hand wash pots and pans especially non-stick. Dishwashers take their toll on many items so I say keep your expensive favorite items out of there. And of course, no wooden things. I love non stick but after a while, the coating always seems to start to wear away no matter how careful I am. At this price point, it will be interinteresting to see if this one outlasts the others. I like that this brand Alva promotes on the box that they have been in business since the 1940s. That is reassuring. This skillet and lid would make a very nice gift as a house-warming. The box is nice and the pan was packaged well with eco consciousness. It is also nice that this pan can go from stove top to oven. At first sight I was impressed with its packaging and the beauty of the skillet is stunning. Polished stainless lid contrasts against the black outer coating adds to its beauty. The logo underneath the handle that reflects onto the lid is a nice touch. All that said, it's still a kitchen tool that has to perform and perform it did! I made this marinade chicken breast with crispy brown rice and caramelized onions that I thought would be a good challenge as it takes several steps to assemble. All came out great and when cleaning the caramelized marinade that stuck on easily came off with hot soapy water and looks new again. As with all my pans and knives, I hand wash and towel dry them. With its attention to detail, and beauty this Alva skillet will be my go to and definitely get a lot of use for many years to come.

This is a beautiful pan that has worked well for many different dishes. It's my new go to pan for scrambled eggs. I love the weight of the pan along with having a nonstick pan that is also nontoxic. It can be used on the stovetop, as well as in the oven which is great. I really have nothing bad to say about it. My only reservation is the price. This is definitely a splurge purchase for most people. If you can get past the price, then I don't think you will be disappointed.

This is a large, relatively tall steel skillet that can be used for stove top cooking. It has a nice non-stick surface which can allow it to cook sticky things such as eggs or perhaps even pancakes. It is great for pan frying meats, and especially fishes because of that nonstick surface. The lid and double handles mean it can be subject to high heat and still managed properly.Overall it is a simple but high quality pan that works much better with the two side handles rather than one long thin handle. I have been using it for salmon because of the high quality surface. I also used it for pork chops, where I cooked the chops and then added rice directly to the pan. This works because the pan is a little taller and has that nice lid. Overall it's a great pan that can do a lot more than just fire a burger

This is a stunning pan. It looks beautiful on the stovetop. The heat distribution was great, and the pan was very easy to clean. What I liked best about it is that it has two side handles making it easy to pick up and move around and the size is perfect for preparing food for two people.

I have no real complaints about this pan. The lid has a hole so it is permanently vented - if you need to cook something that needs a full seal, then this is not ideal. I knew this going into it, but it's worth mentioning incase you didn't notice that in the pics.Has a nice weight for its small size, but it shouldn't be too heavy for someone with limited strength or grip in their hands.Non stick works great - has been fine for egg dishes with minimal added oil/butter (mainly for flavor).Heats evenly - I haven't found a hot spot in the pan, seems to conduct evenly.

This is a review for the Alva Maestro Non-Stick 9.5" Skillet. The skillet is very well made and beautiful. It cooks super well and the non-stick surface is probably the best that I have ever used. The skillet needs to be handled appropriately so that it is not damaged and information on its care is printed on the box.The only con is that the handles get hot, which was unexpected.

Love a high quality PFAS pan at a reasonable price. This pan is gorgeous! Stunningly beautiful. I love a good pan.It heats evenly, as expected from Alva whose stellar reputation for quality is reliable. The ceramic coating allows for quick release of prepared food. No sticking! As well, clean up is a snap, allow to cool first and no cold water introduced in the hot pan!The handles do heat especially if on a larger burner. Just note it.Great pan and so happy to add it to my kitchen!
