Great Value
I needed to cut some slots in 2" thick pine for M10 coach screws so I needed some long bits. There is no doubt that the longer the bit, the more danger you are in. It is necessary to take care with bits this thin and long. Ideally, it would be best to use a 1/2" router for strength, but finding a long ~10mm router bit with a 1/2" shank is, well, I couldn’t find one. 8mm shank is the next best thing, but it is a lot weaker. Not only that, but my 8mm router has no safeties, so even more reason to take care. The bits vibrated a little so I kept the speed right down and plunged in steps of around 5mm. Strictly speaking, these aren't plunge bits, but in soft pine they worked for 5mm. The cut was guided by the larger 32mm recess I had previously cut in the wood. The bits are very sharp. They happily sailed through knots. Considering the pine was cheap and damp, the result was good. Admittedly, not a great test, but it did at least show that in soft materials they work as expected. I think the message is that these are perfectly good bits as long as you be sensible and take all the safety precautions you can. Recommended.

Router bit - good finish on machined edge.
Ordered the pair of 8mm shank router bits for cleaning up kitchen worktop edges. Only used the shorter one so far on a 40mm board. Clean smooth cuts for a good mating surface. Very happy with the result.

Not a quality product
Bought these to cut a kitchen top but went blunt after single cut. Quality is poor, sticks with branded bits.
