Q: Can this stay out without melting much for a day or so, if I plan to take it on a long flight?

H there. Depends what you mean by stay out? It's shelf stable and does not need to be refrigerated. If exposed to very hot temperatures, as a natural organic product, it's possible the chocolate can melt and the sesame oil can separate a bit, but this is mostly aesthetic. If you're bringing on a long flight, it shouldn't be a problem at all as the cabin is generally room temperature or cooler and checked luggage is generally colder. To note, if carrying on your long flight, per any food item, be prepared that TSA may question what it is. Hope that answers your question. Please reach out if not.
