Time for Bed

I bought this for my kids over 20 years ago and they loved it. Still had it when my granddaughter came long last year and she loves it being read to her countless times throughout the day, and looking at the beautiful illustrations and hearing the lovely rhymes, so I had to buy the board book which is better for her little hands. I wonder if she’ll pass it onto her grandchildren, it’s a timeless classic, and highly recommend.

I absolutely adore this book. bought it for my 14 month old. It is such a lovely, cosy wholesome book. The illustrations are soothing, detailed and beautiful, it has lovely simple rhyming rhetoric which is appealing and its Just a great introduction to British wildlife. The book also has a lovely feel to it, good size and good quality. My daughter loves it. Highly recommend.

The book has improved a lot since I was a child. I was expecting a standard board book, instead it has one of those squishy hard covers, really makes it feel special. Fairly big too. Lovely book, enjoyed reading through it again, beautiful illustrations and a sweet story

We love this in our house! My son regularly picks it off the shelf at bedtime as one he'd like to read. And while some of his books bore me to death, this is actually quite cute and relaxing, I think it's the rhyming. He likes to point at all the baby animals and make the noises (he's one), I'm hoping it stays a favourite for a while yet!

A great little bedtime story, where you're able to say goodnight to a variety of animals (as it's also their time for bed). My 2 yr old and 4m old, love this at bedtime.

My nearly two year old daughter loves this book - she loves pointing out the babies and mummies/daddies and saying what the animals are and noticing the love between them. It's written in rhyming couplets and there is a lovely lyrical tone. It's an ideal book for bedtime - highly recommended!

I haven't actually given the book to the toddler yet; but having had a look myself, I think it is a beautiful book.

Hi, this book is just absolutely adorable - my 1-year-old son loves it, and the beautiful pictures and soothing rhymes make putting him to sleep really easy. What I like about this book is most of all that the drawings are showing real animals and not only some manga that should eventually look like a sheep etc... The lyrics in the book are in a soft rhythmic structure and perfect to lull your baby to sleep. It's short text and awesome pictures - perfect for the littlest kids that cannot really understand any long story with a moral at the end, yet. So far it works everytime - and quick too! I did not have to read it more than twice in a row - and baby was happily snoring along.. The book is made of very strong cardboard, easy for the little one to turn the page and it even survives bites and pulling (of course you should never leave your child alone for a long time with things like that if you want them to stay whole..) A joy for parents and children all the same! Dieses Buch ist ideal geeignet als Gute-Nacht Geschichte für die ganz kleinen. Ein kurzer Reim auf jeder Seite, der auch zum Bild passt. Die Zeichnungen sind mit sehr viel Liebe gestaltet und stellen die Tiere wie sie wirklich sind dar, nicht in Comic oder Mangaform - das hat man heutzutage leider nur noch selten bei den meisten englischen Kinderbüchern. Für meinen Kleinen ist es eine sehr schöne gemütliche Art in zum Schlafen zu bekommen, meistens ist er spätestens nach dem zweiten Vorlesen/Mitlesen eingeschlafen. Das Material ist auch sehr gut, hält auch mal aus dass der Kleine versucht reinzbeissen und dran zu ziehen. Die Seiten sind schön dick, da kann er auch schon selber umblättern - ich kann das Buch wirklich nur empfehlen. Für Eltern und Kind eine Freude!

what a cute book for toddlers very impressed

I think it is a great bed book for kids. My daughter is 8 months and she loves the pictures and the rhythm of its lines. Great option to start reading.

It is a simple book for young kids. The pictures are not particularly clear. Best for introducing babies to learning.
