The Rainspire bench scraper/chopper is a kitchen "must have" for any cook. This versatile tool makes scooping up chopped onions and other veggies a breeze compared to using a chef's knife. I also use mine to portion/divide dough. Though some use it for chopping, it really isn't suitabe for the type of precision cutting a chef's knife or santoko knife affords. The Rainspire brand is a quality, heavy duty, stainless steel item. You can feel the heft in it.....not flimsy at all. The ergonomic handle is comfortable and provides a good, non-slip grip. I also appreciate that the blade has one inch markings which helps me when portioning and dividing dough. It comes with a protective blade cover for drawer storage, though the blade cover is fairly thin and not likely to last long. I paid $6.98 and I don't think a more expensive version could do a better job.

Nice scraper and good price

Its very sturdy. It does not bend with heavy use. I use it to work dough, cut my dough and I also use it to clear flour off my work area. Works well. Easy to clean since its stainless steel.

Great value, plastic handle seems solid, easy to use, solid build, edge isn’t sharp but can cut things with it, has a tapered edge and ruler on one side. Weight feels good. I use it to scrape my chopping board mostly.

Good weight and really good blade for cutting and scrapping. I had another brand that felt flimsy by comparison.
