Well worth the investment in time & bruised thumbs...
I've tried most of the alternatives and was somewhat sceptical when I approached this product but (after one of the coldest winters on record) I'm able to report that this solution works very well indeed. It's not the easiest to fit, although I did get better (and faster) as fitting progressed to such an extent that I'm now considering re-fitting my earlier efforts (that will require new excluder as you cannot really re-use the product). I would even go as far as to say that I was rather enjoying myself whilst installing it once I got into the swing of things!I found holding the nails by pushing them through a thick piece of card, then holding the card in position rather than attempting to hold the tiny nail in place helped to save my thumbs (a pair of long nosed pliers would do the same job!).Overall, highly recommended; just make sure that you leave yourself plenty of time for the fitting and have some arnica gel on standby for the sore thumbs!

Excellent product
Excellent product but tricky to fit. I did a trial run on the shorter length of the door frame from the lock to the bottom joint. When holding the nail you can't see where the indentations for the nail holes are so for the remainder I pre-drilled 1.5mm holes before fitting. Also the nails are so small to hold that I kept hitting my thumb so I recommend you hold the nail over the pre-drilled hole with a pair of pointed nose pliers. I got very proficient towards the end but it started off being a slow and tedious job. The results are well worth the effort! I only nailed every alternate indentation so will see how this performs if I need to use more nails later on.

Effective, but not a trivial job
I fitted this to a front door, replacing an external sealing strip and greatly improving the appearance of the door as a result. The door shuts with a little more effort (the strips mean you need to apply more pressure each time the door is closed). The fact that the copper flexes to fill the gaps is mentioned by most of the reviewers, and that is true, but be aware the strip can go a bit wavy if the material is not completely flat and straight from top to bottom. Even if you are very careful and take a lot of trouble over the installation, for example doing half the nails and then going back to fill the gaps, the chances are you will have some waves in the copper. This does not look nearly as good as a nice flat section. The bright, metal strip is also really eye-catching so I do hope it goes brown with oxidation (I expect it will). It is absolutely hopeless trying to install this with your fingers to hold the nails. Please save yourself the hardship! Use some needle-nosed pliers to hold the nails as you key them; it's far easier and makes the job considerably less aggravating.

Allow plenty of time and have nimble fingers
Excellent remedy for droughts, the best I think, took a good while to put ours on, I guess the more you do the better you get at it, but ultimately it does the job so I would recommend it.

Fiddly
I was trying to fit this to a door with a curved top. Not a good idea. The product must be good as I live in a 100 year old building and some doors still have the original of this attached and functioning! Just not fitted by me; do not have the patience, but that is me, not the product!

Excellent traditional draught-proofing
We have old oak doors that have shrunk and warped slightly over time - with visible daylight on one side! The copper strips work perfectly in sealing the edges and they look great (unlike a rubber or foam strip!). To fit the strips simply measure the section of the frame you want to fit it to, cut the strip to the correct length (scissors work fine for this as the copper is fairly soft) and then tack in place - as the tacks are pretty small and fiddly I used a thin 1 inch nail to punch through the copper and just into the wood, then pulled the nail out and pushed in the tack by thumb before hammering into place. Working down the strip alternating holes, then going back and doing the ones inbetween, this avoids any buckling of the strip and ensures it stays flat. The trickest part is probably "scoring" the edge and bending it, it's very hard to keep this straight and is easier with a ruler.

A great draught blocking solution
For a big old wooden front door we’ve tried many foam and other draight blockers and non work. I was opening my parents door which has never had a draught problem and i spotted it was copper.I bought this and fotted it and ot seems to work. The fitting is quite simple provided you have a counterpunch to make the holes and thin nose pliars to hold the tacks. No bashed fingers like some warnings. The trickiest bit is not bending too many tacks when the angles are difficult.Ours seems a snug fit and we’ve used WD40 to make the door easier to shut. This is well worth a try if you have a wooden door and frame imo.

Useless
Buoyed by previous reviews decided to attempt to fit this to an old, badly fitting door. It was hopeless! The copper buckled in places and proved impossible to make an effective seal along its whole length. Eventually discarded in favour of a seal-easy alloy strip with plastic insert - not available via Amazon - which was a huge improvement. I think it was made by SealEasy. Finally, it was half the price of the copper item. I do wish Amazon gave a better description of items for sale rather than leave it to customers.
