The good news first: this tap is a well made, sturdy item, beautifully finished. It's easy to fit. It looks good. Then the bad news: the overrun (mentioned by almost every reviewer) is shocking, it seems to go on forever and wastes huge amounts of water. I did read the reviews so I knew this was likely, but also picked up the fix is to add an aerator. I have always quite fancied a swishy spray thing, so £11.99 got me a decent chrome one and as reported, problem fixed. If you are thinking of buying this tap don't do it unless you get an aerator with it, the fixing you need is FM22 (female thread, 22mm) and it will screw straight on the end of the tap. Lots of styles and finishes to choose from on Amazon, you don't have to have a rotating one. So three stars only, because that overrun is such a bad flaw (and don't believe the "syphon action" excuse either ... my old Grohe tap of almost identical design never had a drip or an overrun in its 11 year life!)

Very nice tap only reason people having trouble with the tap dripping is due to the tap not having an aerator in the end like most have. Once I installed one in it it stopped that problem and the water from my combi boiler comes out hotter due to the slightly reduced flow.

Two months on and the tap won’t stop dripping. The handles also won’t line up and one continuously comes loose even after retightening. Absolute rubbish for the money.

Excellent tap and incredible price compared to anywhere else including merchants. The momentary drip mentioned on another review is just due to this style of tap. The Bristan Easyfix base a clever idea and helps with future tap change and maintenance. Have fitted different styles of these Bristan taps before and very straight forward.

I bought this as we had been advised in the past that this make could deal with our high water pressure.When our plumber attended he told us that he had experience with the ‘easy fit’ where the tap top had detached from the base unit, leaving two pipes spurting water into the kitchen.We returned the tap unused

Fantastic, well worth the money.

No wonder this product was on special offer as it is of poor quality and I am already thinking of changing it. The tap was fitted professionally and does not sit very well on the drainer quite a lot of movement and when you turn off both the hot & cold taps there is a considerable amount of dripping water. The instructions say the dripping water is caused by capillary action of residual water in the spout being siphoned out. Nearly half a cup of water !! I did not have this problem with my previous taps. Not a happy customer.
