Fast, reliable, compact, convenient. I recently lost two “mechanical” drives that malfunctioned, losing all of the stored data. I tried repairing the drives, but to no avail. True, I could have sent to a company to recover the data, but that would have cost $1000 to $2000! This solid state drive has twice the storage capacity of the older drives at less than half the cost! Excellent value!

Excellent, inexpensive SSD drive that really delivers. I'm using these to offload VST piano sounds from my Mac. That means it has to be fast and it is! As far as reliability, I've had them run around the clock (attached) on my Mac and haven't had a failure yet. I've purchased 3 so far and it has been very good.

5 stars in initial quality. Got a bit hot while loading 1.3TB of data. I used a usb fan to keep things cool as this was expected. Transfer rate was fairly consistent with no issues. This drive is now in constant use; so I'm curious how long this drive can hold up. If it makes the low end of the typical time (5 years), I'll be more thanhappy with that. Love how small this drive is in physical size.

I needed extra storage space. My first purchase was a Transcend 2tb. After transferring a few pictures and videos it locked up my laptop. I'm not a computer person, didn't grow up in the age of computers. After disconnecting the Transcend and hours of figuring out how to get my computer to restart, my first instinct was to format the Transcend. That didn't go well, my laptop wouldn't even recognize the Transcend. I returned it to Amazon and after searching other options I found the SSK. Reviews were really good. It was only about $15 more than the Transcend. Regarding its size compared to the Transcend,, I was surprised. About the size of a matchbox! And still 2 tb of storage space. It also came with 2 different types of connectors. Other storage drives did t even come with data transfer cables. A person would have to purchase a cable separately for their personnel use. I've transferred about 5gb onto it now with no issues. No overheating whatsoever. I don't know speed stuff on computers, but I would say it's fast. I've had others that I leave the from the office, come back an hour later and they would still be transferring data. Not a problem with this SSK 2TB. I would definitely recommend it.

Bought it for my husband to transfer 300 GB off of his android phone. Files were transfered effortlessly & quickly. Already recommended to someone else who purchased one as well. Great size too!

I bought this to increase storage on my PS5. Stupidly I didn’t realize you can’t actually PLAY games off of external storage, and Sony actually allows you to install a second internal SSD (which I would’ve bought instead of this had I done my research).That being said: it works as backup storage. I plugged it into my PS5 with the usb c to usb a cable included (nice touch to include 2 types of cables). My PS5 formatted it and I was able to move older games to it without issue. Took a while to move 500gb (90+ mins) over, unsure if it was the console or SSD that was slow to write the data.The drive is small, I knew it wouldn’t be huge, but I didn’t realize how small it would be. Fits in the palm of your hand. Smaller than a credit card, but thicker. Which is nice because I can just leave it plugged in to the console and not worry about it dangling. Or later can use it as portable storage for my laptop.I don’t have much criticism, it was pretty fairly priced, though I haven’t seen the speed performance yet it advertises. Maybe with a laptop it would work faster.
