Smooth Coverage and High Quality
This gesso spray goes on evenly and dries quickly. The bright white color provides an excellent base coat for my craft projects. It’s a staple in my DIY kit now.

This may be the best way to gesso a canvas
This is a fantastic way to apply gesso to a canvas. Gesso does not spray well using an air brush because it’s thick but it sprays perfectly from this Krylon can. I needed it to be applied by spray because I wanted to eliminate brush strokes in the gesso, which happens when I apply gesso with a brush. One can was good for two 16 x 20” size canvasses with multiple coats.

Good stuff, velvety smooth finish, but check for clogs before each use.
The item is great, but needs to be checked for clogging between each use. The delivery time was excellent. The only problem is a side issue: I searched for CLEAR gesso, which I just heard existed (okay, I'm old and never thought to check such a thing!) and then, when I found it does exist, I searched for clear gesso spray. This item came up, but I KNOW it is not clear, it's a lovely smooth white. I have been trying to find a way to show Amazon a screen grab with comments to illustrate this possibly misleading problem, and this is the only place I have found where I can send an image! So here you go.

Easy and efficient!
This was my first time using a spray gesso, and I loved it! I quickly and efficiently sprayed nearly 2 dozen canvases for re-use.

No the seller's fault, but this stuff...grrr!
I'll preface this with I don't believe this is the sellers faults but the actual product instead. This stuff does apply a pretty great coat, so I can't complain about that. But no matter much you shake this can up, every so often it just spits out a bunch of droplets. And that ruins that great coat. It's frustrating. I used almost the entire can on priming a guitar for painting (was advised it was the best), so I don't think I'll be buying this stuff again. I'll just go back to a regular quality primer.

Love this Spray Gesso
Since "happening" upon this product about 2 yrs ago, I have used nothing else to prime my canvases for Acrylic Paintings. It does not leave brush marks like liquid gesso. It dries in 5 or 10 minutes outside. I don't use it in an enclosed room. Outside or in a garage etc is fine. Nothing happens in small enclosed room, but it has an odor lasting a few hrs. and fine mist might get on furniture in a small room. A large room, basement area, would be fine. I can't live without this. Problem is that it is getting harder to find it. A YouTube reviewer didn't recommend it at all on oil painting, but he did a price comparison to liquid gesso and stated it is the same price for the same coverage.

This is a great gesso, perfect for the base layer on my art projects!

it's very gritty. I prefer the brush on. I used this on book pages and it leaves a sandy finish that doesn't allow for my really fine detail in sketching to shine. Might be good for other things but not to sketch on.
