Love Does: Discover a Secretly Incredible Life in an Ordinary World Paperback – 11 May 2012

I read this book in 2020 and it was one of my top 3 books for the year.I think Bob tells the most beautiful, intriguing, compelling, and almost "too wild to believe" stories. But I guess that's just a pointer to the type of person Bob is. I love how Bob used his stories to teach us about how to be better Christians and people generally. His stories also challenged me to live a bigger, fuller life.

I've struggled for too long with trying to work out where I am with God, Christianity, and the bible. This book has answered questions, and has made me ask questions about myself. It has made me dream, but also given me courage (?) to pursue these dreams. God wants us to be ourselves.

A really good book - written in an engaging way that hooks you from the start. It's funny, it's uplifting, it reminds you what Christianity should be about without being remotely preachy. It's a lovely book and I read it in 2 sittings - only stopped the first time because I needed sleep & couldn't wait to get back to it. I'll be reading more of his books.

Bob Goff gives us his take on living life the full- he writesd wth candid humour but also a serious side as he works through some of the challenges we face to become the people we so long to be. This book is filled with real life stories of the author and how he has grown to be a person of love.

I like the idea of this book - the idea of love as a verb, a doing word. Using this theme, Bob shares some great stories and lessons from his life and the lives of those around him.I found the earlier chapters more enjoyable though as the stories felt a little forced towards the end, and some of the messages felt like they were tagged on in hindsight.Despite this, not a bad read overall. Easy to read and uplifting - what more can you ask for?

This book is full of adventures about a life lived on the edge, that not only lets us live it vicariously but actually shows us how to get a bit closer to the edge ourselves. If you’re feeling hopeless about the state of the world and the state of the church, start here. There is hope in abundance.

We're I to say this book is not deep, intellectual or complex you might get the idea that it's not profound. We'd both be wrong.It maybe simply written with real practical examples but such simplicity belies the profound truths upon which love in action relies.A life of love is not about thinking, planning our even reading a book... it's about doing.

This book is a wonderful read for any age.It has inspired me in many ways to live a fuller life.It has also made me ask significant questions about what is love doing through my life.Thanks Bob for making it easy to see love through your life and being open to all God has done in your.

I love this book! (And this author.) I have given many as gifts. It is an easy read, funny, and very inspirational. We used it as a book study. SO many good quotes from this book. It's a book that I've picked up several times and reread it. Love it!

Really good book, appreciated that chapters could be read as stand alone or all together. I screenshotted and sent many pages to friends and family as I went. A good challenge on how big love can be be and why we put limits on it.
