After using several SAT prep guides, this study Guide was the most helpful! In addition to this book, we used online MathHelp.com. Both Barron's Guide and the online course helped our son to get a result close to 1500 from the first attempt. Highly recommend this study guide.

very helpful for study

Rather than including practice tests, this book, along with the new Princeton Review Digital, attempts to be a combination all-inclusive English text and math book, trying to teach students the material. I need practice tests! Followed all the steps to register the book and get to the online practice tests and every effort failed. I have emailed the company six times now and every suggestion they have made to get me to the practice tests has failed. I refuse to purchase another of these prep books only to find that the tests are not in the book but online only.

I bought this book to help children get ready for the SAT; however, more than half of the book is about math. Between the math section and the answers, there is a sliver of English Reading and Writing. I do not recommend this book except for the practice tests.

It's a shame that these question designers didn't even care to do copy editing. There are not only many wrong sentences with an extra word, such as "the," but also obvious grammar mistakes. For instance, they wrote "Bacteria is..." and treat the expression as correct, but "bacteria" is a plural noun. They treat "graffiti" as a singular noun, while the word is absolutely plural according to any dictionary. These question designers need serious English training and need a much better attitude in taking care of young people.
