Surprised how compact this is.
This is smaller and lighter than it looks from the photos. It's smaller than my inflatable camping pillow.Yet to test it but it seems sturdy enough for repeated use. Just what I wanted, and if it lives up to the breathability as advertised, will be perfect for a sleeping bag liner.

Lightweight and offers a good boost to a sleeping bag when the weather turns a little cooler. However after using it several times a small tear has developed in the seem.

Good protection at minimal space and weight, perfect
I've used the "standard" SOL Escape Bivvy, then I bought the "Escape Lite" which shaves about 100gr and has no zip. I prefer the latter as it's a truly "emergency" bivvy bag that actually works. This is a minimalist and ultralight bivvy bag, quite litterally. If you need a bivvy for going to festivals, or to trash around; then look somewhere else. This is for the discerning hiker that knows how to use its stuff. No party kids here.Does is breath? Yes, you don't wake up clammy. Is it waterproof? Yes, "waterproof" but not "stormproof". No problems with drizzle or light rain. If heavy rain is there, be wise and get a small tarp. How much does it weight? 155gr with the bag, on my scales. Packed is as big as a 330ml can of Pepsi. Impressive small size and weight. Will it keep you warm? Yes, indeed. As long as you have clothes on, you can expect to be warm in 0ºc temperature when you're in a sleeping bag that is rated for +8ºcIs it durable? Yes, it is very much like Tyvek (the soft type) so it will not tear unless you pull hard.Abrasion and puncture resistance are good for the weight and thickness (will cope with rocks or wood, but not with flint or thorns!), the material is strong enough to not tear catastrophically, and can be repaired with Gaffer tape if needs to.Mind you, this bivvy bag is on the short and narrow side!I'm 5f 9" (178cm) and 11st (71kg) so I'm not very tall nor with a big body. And I can fit well inside, roll to one side without problems. Anyone that's over 6ft and/or with broad shoulders or hips/belly, would fit tight inside. In my opinion there should be a "Large" size of this.Yet, an excellent product. Forget those 6-800gr "heavy duty" bivvy bags. With this SOL Lite bivvy and a small 300gr tarp you'll have better protection (tarp+bivvy) for yourself AND your gear, plus this does actually reflect the body heat. Smaller weight and pack size, for better protection.Win.
