Quiet!!! Love it.
Does a great job and No Humming, Buzzing, TV drowning sound. It was fairly easy to set up. The only negative we can see is the rather flimsy corrugated hoses. We plan on changing to more durable ones.

Well built, well designed, quiet & effective
Best canister filter ive ever dealt with. Very impressed by its design, quiet operation, effectiness and power. The feature allowing air build-up to be periodically evacuated is great!

$300 FIVE GALLON BUCKET!!! DO NOT BUY!!!!
Filter is absolute trash!!! Pump burnt out after only a year use. Spent over $100 re-plumbing my tank to except it’s unorthodox sized tubing. Tubing is cheap quality and will crack overtime so be sure to invest in better quality hose. Flow rate was subpar and only got worse after a couple months. Replacement pumps cost $85 to replace.. do yourself a favor and checkout the amount of replacement pumps sold in the last month. DONT SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU!!!

I wish I had gotten this for my tank sooner!
I have two turtles and their tank was always so dirty! I have gone through 6 HOB filters and two aesthetic turtle filters (ones that look like rocks) and every filter I tried needed to be fully taken apart and deep cleaned every few weeks! Nothing could keep my tank clean until I got this filter! I waited a few months to write this review just to make sure it held up and it is still absolutely amazing! I was nervous because I have never had a canister filter before and I didn’t know how to use it but it’s actually incredibly easy. It’s effective, super quiet, and total game changer for my turtles! Now I’m thinking of switching all of my tanks to this filter! It saves me so much time and it saves money because I don’t need to constantly buy replacements for the HOB filters anymore!

Great flow
I swapped this for my old OASE biomaster 350. Long story short the heater on the OASE burnt out and I didn't like the design for opening the canister to clean (not talking about the pre filter). Pros: First thing I noticed was the flow, wow. It is probably due to the thicker tubes and better pump, but holy smokes this thing makes the water flow in my 90cm planted tank. And the plants love it, they have never been healthier. Second there are some really great things they built into this to help cleaning be easier. you can shutoff both intake/return hoses and easy disconnect them to clean. Cons: The reason for the great flow is the size of the tubes which are also not standard. If you want to do inline anything or fancy lily pipes, you'll need to jerry rig something. Which also btw cuts down on the flow. Noise is also a bad. I have mine in the family room so the hum of the filter doesn't bother me, but if your tank is in a bedroom, I would not suggest this for any light sleepers.

Much better pump
I have had other Fluval pumps, the build quality of the FX series is significantly better. The self prime function is fantastic and worth the money just for it. No more pumping to get the pump to flow.

Really easy setup
Quite happy with the filter. My old cannister filter finally died, and I was trepidatious about changing brands. However, this was way easier to install, set up, and get running. Everything was included (except the activated carbon). Amazingly quiet. I just didn't notice how loud the old one was anymore I guess. Within an hour of running, it had reduced the turbidity in the tank noticeably. I'd recommend it.

Warning! This is an american filter, 120v not for europe. Have to use a converter. Maybe i got unlucky. The biomedia is bad and you get to little off it for the money. It's basically just a bucket with a pump and a hose and some baskets.

Turned up very fast and before expected. Functions perfectly and it's powerful for what I need and keeps the water looking crystal clear. The noise is very minimal to none and very easy to set up and looks clean in the cupboard.
