Interior Design Masterclass: 100 Lessons from America's Finest Designers on the Art of Decoration

This is a big whopper of a book. Very elegant and detailed. Incredibly useful information and descriptions on how and why some designers come up with their ideas.

Beautiful Book, so many ideas on what to do and how to do it

Quite frankly you should buy this book to realise why so many of us just make up our own style as we go along and not bother with a so-called stylist. A good many of these ideas are just vile, certainly don't create a home you want to come back to. Yuk!!

Per il prezzo pagato pensavo di ricevere tutt'altro. Si tratta invece di uno di quei bellissimi libri da tavolino ricco di immagini. Lo consiglio per prendere spunto dalle soluzioni proposte e come componente d'arredo lui stesso.

This book was a spontaneous grab at the library recently, but I ended up rereading it so many times that I purchased my own copy. The layout was so accessible--really stunning photos accompanied by a page or two of text from a master designer--so it was easy to enjoy a bit at a time. Despite not being myself one of the well-heeled homeowners featured in the book, I still found the layouts and descriptions inspiring, and could use them to guide my efforts in my own more modest home. I think the best part of this book was the instant joy I felt as I turned certain pages...I learned a lot about what I instinctively like and don't like, and it made me happy just reading about the thought and feeling behind the rooms featured. Unlike some other design books I've read which are more explicitly instructional, this is one to linger over and absorb from slowly. Highly recommended!

The title says it all, a no-nonsense book.

The product arrived on time and perfect conditions, but I do not suggest this book. In my opinion the pictures are uninspiring (to me it looks like a dated design, very far from my taste, anyway ) , while the text is pretty boring and do not provide practical suggestions/tips/inspiration. I am surprised this book has so many positive reviews.
