Works Great for Tarpon fish
The media could not be loaded. I brought this on a sailing trip in the BVI to attract fish to the boat to look at. It has a nice long cord that was able to reach from the cabin chart table 12V outlet on a Lagoon 450 into the water off the port side, or out the front and into the water below the trampoline. It also comes with a 12V battery terminal adapter. It gets very warm if you leave it turned on in air, and should only be used submerged for cooling. The light is very, very bright, and is a nice shade of green that isn't too glaring from above the water. It worked great over a week of overnight use and attracted a lot of very large tarpon fish to the boat every night. They seemed so fascinated by the light I was actually starting to worry they might be hypnotized and forget to go eat and do normal fish things! It also seemed to attract many smaller fish and even a few squid and sea turtles came by to check it out.

Entertaining, fun, easy. Bonus 12v adapter
This is simple to deploy and easy to work with. It works great as a night lure for fishing or just for fish watching entainment. Sea lions really seem to like it too.Surprise bonus! I didnt realize from the description, but the leads don't connect directly between the light and the battery clamps. There is a standard 12v connector (some people call it a cigarette lighter plug) about a foot away from the clamps. It's like an extra accessory plug that you can use for other things when the lamp is not in use, or you can plug the lamp into any 12v accessory plug on your boat (or car if you're using it on land). Really great purchase. We'll see how it holds up...

This really works well, or not at all. It's fishing! NOT catching! :)
I caught plenty Akule (big eye scad) with this bright green light. I have used it almost weekly for the past 3 years. In salt water . I just ordered another, to replace my first. It still works. But it does have a short, and it's time to retire it.

Well worth it
I bought a pair of these lights convinced they were going to be a novelty purchase....and tossed. I didnt fish with them but I packed them on a house boat trip to Lake Shelbyville. Super high winds and previois rains had the water murky at best with minimal viability. I bought a water proof inverter and wired them together and dropped them off the side just below the surface. I cant complain. There was an enormous amouny of baitfish at the surface immediately and like a frat boy keg party, stragglers kept coming all night. Lights never got hot or failed after about 5 hours. They feel sturdy and water tight. Will definitely get a couple more. Well worth the cost. Just know you'll need to come up with a method to suspend them either off the side or extended out with extension pole like a paint handle.

Second year still works
These lights work good for squid. I use two together for a brighter light and I can run several hours on a 10ah lithium battery and have yet to have the battery die running 2 lights for up to 6 hours at a time. The battery clips are cheap and will eventually break and the cigarette lighter plug will go bad but I just cut them off and added terminals to attach to the battery. I would give less that 5 stars if I bought them recently but they were half as much last year when I bought them. I honestly expected them to leak water and short out but these things are sealed off great for hours of fishing fun.

The light is very bright and seems to attract a lot of tasty creatures that the fish that we are after can't seem to resist. I have another green light that formed condensation in the tube. I think the condensation is my fault because I left the light on after I pulled it up when I moved to another location. The light should have been turned off while out of the water. The light still works and I don't see any condensation. One of the problems that caused the light to be left on is the need to undo the alligator clips on the battery. For this new light I made a plug that is fed by the battery through a toggle switch. Now before pulling the light up I turn off the power with the switch.

Had a cloud of small life around it within a min of dropping in N ontario lake
Very bright. I hold off reviews on something I love until I can buy more. I dont want them to sell out first. ha I need one but have three now! I highly recommend this light. I wish I knew proper term but I will call them Krill right or wrong! I have good video of a cloud of around light within min of dropping into a temagami lake. bait likes that and fish likes bait and I like fish. Check regulations though. cant use to fish but looking is Ok

It works very bright
I purchased this for my son he said it was much brighter then expected for such a small unit but has only had an opportunity to use it a couple of time so far.

Not As Advertised
I found the brightness unimpressive, so I measured the current.0.57A instead of 0.9A.
