Guns N' Roses - Greatest Hits

Awesome song book with clear transcriptions for piano and is easy to read and fun to do! Great song selections too including the song ‘Patience’. Recommended for any fan of great music!

It is what it says. Simple music mainly for piano, but guitar chord boxes are included, along with vocals. A buyer would need to know that the music is written as played in standard tuning. For example, the version of sweet child on the record is in the key of d flat, as Guns always tune down a semi-tone, but in the book the song is written in D, which is how the music is read by the band, just they are in standard tuning. To play along with the record, transposition would be required.

My grandson is learning to play the guitar that his dad bought for Christmas so got this book to help him learn and also because he loves guns and roses

Lots of favourites and classic, intermediate level. I’m still working through but loving the arrangements of the pieces I’ve tried! They aren’t as backing piano in the records, I think they’ve been adapted to be stand alone piano pieces but still really great sounding.

A great collection of the hits, arranged on piano where they do actually sound like the songs we know and love. A must have to any collection!

Easy to read and great tunes

To the complaints, this book is described as a SCORE as in SHEET MUSIC, so hey guess what? NO TABS! With all the tab software that converts sheet music cheap or even free why would a person rate it as 1 star? This book TRANSCRIBES numerous GNR tunes from their original recordings and includes all band parts (a SCORE). Where this surpasses guitar tab books is in sheer volume of music, this gives all the band member parts 2-5x the amount of music a tab book would give you. You can use this to accurately teach an entire band one of these songs, PLUS program various devices and software without spending endless hours personally transcribing the parts from the recordings. Excellent for practicing playing and singing as the score shows you how everything lines up bar for bar easily allowing you to isolate and practice complex passages until you can execute them simultaneously. A great value, I got mine used so I felt like Jesse James loose on a train.

Been practicing consistently for 30 mins to 1hr per day for 2 years, some breaks here and there. I consider myself to be a beginner nearing intermediate. This purchase was a good one for my level. I like the fact that the songs differ in their difficulty, this will help with profession of skills.

Ich spele schon seit Jahren Gitarre und wollte meine Guns n Roses Sammlung erweitern mit einem Text und Tabulatoren zu Knocking on Heavensdoor die Texte mit Noten sind auch abgedruckt sowie die Griffe klein darüber geschrieben ich vermisse jedoch die Tabulatoren! Fazit: Buch an sich gut auch alle Texte dabei nur wer so wie ich gern die Tabulatur zu jedem Stück sucht der macht hier leider einen Fehlgriff!
