Great for our service dog!
My service dog has learned to use these buttons and we enjoy her "talking" to us! She is an Australian Blue Heeler, very smart and the buttons. But you need a smart dog breed, patience and daily training.. These buttons are durable, I think my6 dog depends more on where the buttons are than on the pictures. Good purchase.

These are fun
These are maybe a little small but our girl does ok with them and they have held up well. We got several and none have malfunctioned yet. This did surprise us a little. In hindsight we now know that making a button that says "Turkey" when you have a Lab might not be the wisest decision. Suffice it to say, that's her favorite and she uses it often and emphatically, has been for several months at least once a day, and trust us, it is still working fine.

Difficult instructions on recording for “speak up”
I love these, but I almost returned them because I could get it to record. The instructions are not clear, and there were no videos on how to record, only on how to train the pet. I am not a dim witted person, so the instructions are not clear.

Awesome butting starter pack.
I have a very smart Havanese mix puppy that I knew would benefit from these buttons. I did a lot of research trying to find buttons that would be an appropriate size, and most importantly, easy for her to push, she only weighs 7 pounds. The informational guide and support that you get from the company on starting your pet off on the right communication path was invaluable. We currently have several buttons strategically placed throughout the house that Ivy loves to use. We are looking forward to building her vocabulary and seeing all of the great things she wants to tell us.

They can be a great learning tool.
They are easy to use and seem very durable. I have an older cat who is interested but hasn’t taken the plunge yet. I have high confidence in her though.

Help!
My Yorkies are not at all fond of these small buttons. I pre-recorded my voice in a softer way. I have put cheese wiz, peanut butter and other treats and they lick it off but won't go near the buttons otherwise. They pull their leg back when I try to guide them on using these. I am not sure these will ever work. 😫 If you have remotely skiddish dogs, you should probably avoid these buttons. I have not quit. I will keep trying and if my pups get it, I will update this review. These are quality buttons, small and work nicely. My dogs just won't use them.

They do what they are supposed to for your pets that care
If you have a pet that is engaged and intelligent, a pet that responds to verbal commands, a pet that seems frustrated because it can’t respond to your commands, this is perfect! You program them with your own voice so you can choose the words, so your pet will understand better. The audio is robotic, but effective. I bought these for my brother’s cat but he isn’t a huge toy kind of cat…he’ll use his soft toys as a pillow sometimes but generally doesn’t respond to much…he’s more of an observer. My other brother’s dog, however, is very much the type of dog that would respond well to these…she knows a few dozen words and if she could ask questions it is obvious she wouldn’t be afraid to! I didn’t buy them for the dog though simply because she would use her favorite words too much—she would constantly ask to go on a walk!

These are much better
I bought the starter pack of 2 of the original buttons, and then decided to buy these newer buttons to add onto my dog’s tiles. These new buttons with the speakers facing out are SO much better. They press much quicker and play the sound 98% of the time when clicked, unlike the originals. They also don’t have the annoying switch on the side like the original buttons do. These are far superior! Our dog loves using the buttons to communicate! He’s only 5 months and has 12 buttons currently.
