Works perfectly with LAMPAOUS "Smart Under Cabinet Lighting Strip Lights" multi color version
This review is for the "Y" connector (no always available).Exactly what I needed. I have their LAMPAOUS Smart Under Cabinet Lighting Strip Lights, the RGB multicolor version and this "Y" cable works perfectly. Don't listen to the answered questions that the Y cable doesn't work with that set. Now, I have that set split into to sections with 3 lamps each using this Y cable.Perfect!

Beautiful well made Lighting but…
Really nice lighting, good quality. However, it is made to work with 2.4ths WiFi. Most Homes are using the much faster 5.4ghz Wifi. Every time I want to turn on the lights I have to switch my Wi-Fi connection on my phone. The timer settings also work from your phone, so if you are not home or not on the correct Wi-Fi network, the preset schedule won’t work.

Nice light, connectors and y harness are a bit cheap
Two defective y harness assembly’s. Going for a third, I’ll keep you all posted.

This is just outrageously stupid
Why would the same company sell the extension cords but manufactured them completely incompatible to the pins that their own lights came with? This is just stupid.

Three issues. Defective Products, Insufficient Customer Service, Poor product Engineering
This is an honest review and not an angry rant. I am frustrated with this product. However, I think you'll find my comments are well reasoned and objective.(1) Defective Products.I purchased two 24 inch light fixtures. I am experienced in setting up smart devices, particularly smart lights and switches. The following is a summary of my experience with the Lampaous under cabinet smart light. As previously stated, I purchased two initially. I was able to set up one, which to this day operates perfectly through the Smartlife app as well as Alexa. When I tried to set up the second fixture, the Smartlife app immediately saw the device, but would not add it to my network through the Smartlife app. I received various trouble shooting errors, such as "failed to connect to router", "weak signal", "adding timed out", etc. I began an endless troubleshooting process which included adjusting my router settings and even moving the fixture so it was within 6 feet of both my router and my phone. I considered every possible problem scenario I could think of, and even resorted to trying some ridiculous things, but nothing worked. None of these methods made much sense to me because I had already successfully set up one of the lights. I returned the fixture and ordered a replacement, thinking the light was defective. However, after receiving and installing the replacement fixture, the wifi connection problems I experienced with the previous, assumed defective light, persisted. Some might speculate I was doing something wrong in the wifi connection process. I would tend to agree, as I am not a wifi expert. However, please keep in mind, I have a lot of experience with this sort of thing AND, I was 100% successful in setting up one of the three lights. I would entertain the possibility I was doing something wrong if this were not a fact. In addition, I've been able to delete the good fixture and set it up again from scratch without difficulty. All of this led me conclude that two out of three lights are defective, and now I have to decide If I want to abandon this product entirely or order a fourth fixture. How many fixtures should I have to order to finally find one that will actually connect to my network. It would be a shame to abandon this product because I am quite happy with the one working fixture.(2) Insufficient Customer ServiceAfter exhausting all avenues of resolving this issue, I reached out to Lampaous for assistance. Within a few hours, I received an email requesting more product information, such as my Amazon order number, presumably so he or she could research the specific product and get back to me. This seemed reasonable. I provided the requested information and gave a more detailed description of the wifi connectivity problems I was having. That was three days ago, and I am still waiting for a response. I crafted a second request for assistance today (08/24/2022).(3) Poor Product EngineeringThis last issue was overcome, but it is frustrating I should have to fix them at all. The product seems to be put together well, but the mounting hardware and general mounting design is less than ideal. I needed to affix these lights on the inside of my cabinetry and not underneath, or just above the countertop, as is probably the most common position. For perspective, my cabinetry has glass doors and shelves, and is designed to have a light mounted inside, on the top, so the light illuminates the interior of the cabinet. That really doesn't matter though, as one trying to affix the light underneath the cabinetry would experience the same issue, which relates to the provided screws and the holes through which those screws must pass. I find articulating this part a bit challenging, but I will do my best. Once the screw goes into the hole cavity, you cannot manipulate it with your fingers, so you have to place the screw on the tip of the screw driver before inserting it into the hole. What happens is, your trying to hold the fixture in place while balancing the screw on the tip of your screw driver. If you are successful so far, you then have to insert the balanced screw into the hole on the lower side of the fixture, push it upward into the hole, and get the screw to come through to the back side, so it can then be driven into the wood surface. To complicate things, the screw keeps jamming up against the flat, inner surface of the screw hole, which surrounds the hole on the inside of the small hole cavity. This prevents the screw from coming out the other side unless it is inserted perfectly straight, which is very hard to do. Inevitably, the very small screw will tilt to one side or the other as you insert in into the screw hole cavity. The tip of the screw will miss the exit hole and get jammed. A magnetic screw driver would help, but I don't have one. Those who have already purchased this product will undoubtedly agree this could have been designed better. In the end, in order to retain my sanity, I resorted to ditching the provided screw and using common wood screws, which are much longer. Since I was affixing these lights inside the top my cabinetry, It did not matter so much that the screw penetrated all the way through to the top of my cabinet. The tip of the screws did push through the top, but its hidden from view, and I can always grind the tips off later. In addition, I had to use a grinder to file down the diameter of each wood screw head so it would fit up into the hole. I also had to enlarge the diameter of the hole on the wood surface side of the fixture to accommodate the lager diameter of the wood screws as opposed to the tiny screws Lampaous provided. I understand you don't want too long of a screw because you don't want the screw to penetrate the cabinetry, but the hole should be designed to allow one to insert the screw into the hole from the bottom side and be able to push it through to the wood mounting side without the screw getting jammed up inside the hole. Even with my son holding the light it place while I was trying to insert and drive the screw, it was and extremely difficult part of the installation process. A better product design is possible and Lampaous should pursue it.Final comments: Despite the frustration of the installation process, this product would have been fine. I was ultimately able to get both lights mounted. However, the wifi connection issue, coupled with poor customer service has left me with an unresolved wifi connectivity problem. I have reached out to Lampaous again, but if they do not come up with a solution, I will return everything, seek a refund, and hopefully find a better, more reliable product.
