Worked well
Cuts cleanly and crimps in one. No complaints.

Perfect for the job
Great bit of kit that massively improved my speed over the previous RJ45 ends that were fit.The tool is really useful and has a spare blade also.

It's OK ... but...
For the money this is pretty good value. It crimps well. The cutting blade can be a bit hit & miss, but it's the stripper blade that's the most problematic. It's just too deep for a UTP cable so if you close the grip youwill always cut an inner thread so it becomes a "manual pressure" challenge. Fine for occasional use but this really puts me off using it.

Not sharp enough?
Doesn’t seem to cleanly cut through the Ethernet cable when crimping, probably the same with all the different branded variants here on Amazon.

Absolutely garbage total waste of my time.
1. It doesn't cut the pass through cables.2. The RJ45 plugs wouldn't fit into the hub. You're best spening the extra and buying the Klein RJ45 crimper.

Affordable, effective.
First time doing Ethernet cables; no prior experience or training here. It was easy.Tips for first timers:1. The end pieces it comes with are "push through", which means you're supposed to push the arranged wires through the clear clips a bit so you can easily see they went through in the right order. The crimping tool cut the wires perfectly flush. I tried to make them perfectly flush before crimping; don't waste your time: the tool does it right.2. The direction the clip faces matters. I did mine all backwards first. Do one, test it and make sure it works, then do the others. It comes with a bunch of end things (don't know what they're called, tips, clips, wire protector rubber bits) so if you mess up, it's not problem, you've got plenty. It came with way more than I realized. I tossed it in my "box of random wires" and I'm pretty sure it will last a lifetime. Doesn't feel cheap or flimsy at all to me.

It just works
The crimping tool (which for me was the main reason for buying this kit) is easy to operate and well built. It works just as well as any other similar tool that I used (even the more expensive ones) and by the look of it should last a long time. I have tested the cutting/stripping blade and it also works as advertised, though I find the arrangement awkward (not just for this tool, all the other similar ones are just as awkward for me) and I am not going to use it. A small flush cutter works better (for me) to trim the wires and the extra stripping tool included in this kit is handier than the built-in stripper. The cable tester looks rather flimsy (it is incredibly light and looks ready to fall apart) but works just fine. I happen to have a better tester already and so I do not plan to use this one frequently, but it is always nice to have a backup. The included RJ45 connectors are fine, just like all the others that I used over time (and I have some that have been in use for over 10 years). I am not a big fan of the kind of boot covers included with the kit (rigid and somewhat loose), but they are the most common kind (on Amazon as well as elsewhere) and ultimately do their job.I noticed one particularity of the crimp tool (or maybe the RJ45 connectors) that might lead to failed connectors and so is worth being on the lookout for: One has to double check that the connector is all the way in before crimping it. Some connectors just went in all the way, but some others (from the same kit!) stopped a bit short, had to be pushed a bit harder, and then went in with an almost audible click. In all, the crimp tool works well and looks built to last a reasonable time. The rest of the things included in the kit also work well and are useful. The value for money is excellent. I am very happy with my purchase.

1 in 5 crimps work. Waste of money, buy something of decent quality.
I dont know whether its the terminals or the crimping tool. But of the 8 cables I had to make for a NVR Camera system. I had to remake 5 of them. And of that 5 they all had to be re-terminated MULTIPLE times. Im talking sometimes 4-5 times per end to get a pass test. Every time, its Pin 1 that does not connect. Not fun when you have to pull an entire cable down and discard it once it becomes to short to use after 5 attempts at getting a good crimp.
