Great product
This is a great pet feeder. It’s my first experience with these types of automatic feeders and so far it has met all my expectations. The only problem is my cat who needs to slowly adapt to understand why I’m not feeding him directly. He won’t jump immediately to eat, there’s always a pause and wait period deciding if he’s hungry enough to eat. I’m thinking over time he will adjust better. He was definitely over eating before that’s why his vet advised a feeder that has portion and scheduled time to feed. I got the one with stainless steel bowl, it’s very easy to clean and attracts less bacteria. Works well on time with great quality.Highly recommend it.

Wonderful addition
This feeder is exactly as advertised. We have programmed it to feed our furry feline friend for 4 small meals throughout the day and night. It will take her some time to get used to not being fed by humans, but as far as the feeder goes, it is exactly what we needed it for. I also appreciate the battery backup feature in case our power goes out.The only negative I would give it, and it's being nit-picky, is the size of the meal is slightly confusing. It took us a little time to figure out serving sizes to how much we wanted our cat to consume.

Your cat may tip it over; also time fades
This works great, but something to keep in mind: this thing is top heavy. My cat has (obviously) learned that the food comes from the little spout on this. So he will try to reach his paw (and entire arm) up into that spout as far as he can to try to fish out food, and he will occasionally get a few kibbles to come out. He has started to get a bit more rough with doing this, and has tipped over the entire thing (again, it's top heavy because the food sits in the top, so it's actually not hard to tip over). This could mean meals don't get delivered successfully if you aren't home to notice this has happened. I'm trying to find a remedy to this, but for now I have wedged it between two bigger items to kinda lodge it into place. Other than that, it's great. I guess a potential fix for this if there are future iterations of this product, is like suction cups on the bottom to hold it to the floor. One other small thing is it's not keeping up with time exactly. When I originally got it I set it to 6am for example, on the dot. Now, a few weeks later, it's going off at about 5:58am. That's 2 minutes over a few weeks. So over the course of months or a year, it's going to be off quite a bit. Other than that, this has worked great.

Set it and Forget it!
Going on a long road trip soon and my outdoor kitty needed a solution to keep her fed. She has a fancy 3 story house with a heated bed so why not an automatic feeding tray too! Hold a lot of food, so she will be taken care of while we are gone without anyone having to come and refill it. Easy to program, set up to feed her twice a day...played with the portion settings and monitored the first few days to see if she had extra or not enough and added a little more. But I love that this will automatically feed her now and I don't need to worry about her...whether we are on vacation or not, this thing is staying in her kitty condo! The locking lid is a big plus also, doesn't happen often but she has gotten raccoon or possum visitors from time to time so this will keep them from eating all the food as its safely locked away and they can only get whatever was dispensed. At least until we trap them and set them free far from our house. All in all great product, easy to set up and use, not huge and does what I need it to do!

Stray Cat Approved
I have a stray cat I've been feeding for about a month. I got this feeder to make sure she didn't go hungry when I was out of town recently. Although it's an indoor device, I put it under a covered porch outside where there is no risk of it getting wet and have had no problems. Setup was fairly easy--if you've set a clock or sprinklers, you can set this. It would be easier if it had a connected app, etc., but I'm sure it would come at a much higher price point if it did.It holds an amazing amount of food for the size--I filled it to the brim and set it to feed 3 portions (as the portion size is quite small) 3x a day and I was gone for 4 days. When I came back, it seemed like hardly any food had been used and so I was worried it had malfunctioned. At the next scheduled feeding time, I went outside to observe this to make sure it dispensed food at the designated time. It did, and as soon as it made the dispensing noise (just the churning of the motor and clinking of the food into the tray), the stray came bolting out of the bushes to eat--this told me she already knew that this sound meant food was coming! I was so relieved it worked and that the cat had already acclimated to it.

How to count portions 1 through 20 + good function for price
This was really easy to set up when reading the manual. Food is dispensed up to six times a day at times you set.WHAT DOES THE 1-20 PORTION/s MEAN?1 portion (P1) = 1 tablespoon2 portions (P2) = 2 tablespoons3 portion (P3) = 3 tablespoonsAnd so forth all the way to portion 20 (P20) = 20 tablespoons20 tablespoons (p20) =1 and 1/4 cups of food. Setting every feeding to this or even portion 10 (P10) =0.6 cups will lead to over feeding :( and if your dispensing that much food at one time, multiple times per day you might as well just have a free feeder.HOW MANY PORTIONS DURING EACH FEEDING?****A helpful note: there are 4 tablespoons in 1/4 cup! You can look up conversions on google! This device also comes with a conversion sheet****I personally set it to Portion 2 (P2) = 2 tablespoons per her six meals per day which would be equivalent to 12 tablespoons in total or 3/4 of a cup. This is based off her dry food bag she can have up to 3/4 cup per day and I give her treats as well and I suggest you do the same :)To my knowledge there is no app that supports this feeder so you’re aware :) I hope this was helpful! If you plan to feed your cat multiple times per day I don’t recommend going over 5 tablespoons (or P5) = 1/3 of a cup.
