Well restoration project.
Cistern pump worked flawlessly. Once received I throughly inspected the pump for any loose bolts before installing the pump on the new well platform I had constructed. I have owned this farm for over thirty years and knew this well was on the property but had not put the effort into extracting water from this well. To my knowledge it has never been dry. After several weeks with no measurable rainfall I decided to revisit and inspect this well to verify it still held water and to build a new platform. After installation and priming the pump it worked better than my expectations. The well specs I will include below along with other items used during the installation process. Well specifics: Hand dug and stone wall lined. Approximate age 70+ years old? Approximate depth 33 feet Well width 3 feet Water depth 8-10 feet underground stream fed? Pipe used 32 feet one inch PVC with foot valve . I plan to utilize this water source for watering our garden/flowers and for emergency purposes.

Pump has other uses.
Though this is a Well pump, it can work as a functional decoration! After our fountain topped got broken by a wind storm. I needed to come up with something else. Toppers are expensive and I looked everywhere. Then I got the idea of an antique pump. This little pump is perfect for the job. I just removed some of the guts so water would flow through it, and used a couple of National pipe fittings also found here on Amazon to make the hookup. It turned out Awesome.

Works perfectly!
This pump worked perfectly. Not used in the way most would use it but it worked for us. This pump was very heavy and sturdy. Came fully assembled and was the best price we found for pitcher pumps. We made our grandson a water track for his hot wheels and monster trucks. He enjoyed pumping the water fast enough to push the cars down the track. Worked perfectly! When he is tired of it we will stick it in a flower bed for looks.
