I am looking for one with a small 9v connection, does this have a 9v connection?

Why do you want a separate power source? This unit gets its power from the unit its connected to.

Can i use this with my sonic bomb alarm clock as it seems in the picture that the jack plug is of a different type to the one that came with my clock.

I have the same problem with sonic alert shaker pad, the jack doesn't fit. It won't fit in your sonic bomb alarm clock as the shaker pad won't fit in.

what size is the jack connection ? would i be able to connect this to my mobile ?

Hi Elizabeth,The size of the jack connection is 5.5 x 2.1mm. I wouldn't have thought a mobile powerful enough to run it as it requires a 12v supply, though think I've seen lower.
