Sony PCKLG1.SYH Screen Protect Sheet for Alpha9 - Glass

Recently purchased a Sony A7R IV and wanted to protect my investment with a screen protector.Whilst there are many 'copies' available of this, for something as expensive as my camera I tend to lean towards the manufacturer when it comes to certain elements (official batteries for example)Inside the box, you'll find instructions in plenty of languages, a small cleaning cloth and a bubble-wrapped screen protector with a pull tag attached to it.I mounted my camera on a small tripod, facing down at an angle and therefore allowing me 45-degree access to my camera rear-screen.After washing my hands I opened the small protective packet containing the cloth, a few wipes cleared any fingerprints off the back of my camera screen. Make sure you have some good lighting and are sat down to do this!Then, I took the screen protector out of its protective bubble wrap and a small envelope. There is a white pull-tag located on it, if you pull it away from the protector slightly you'll work out which side is going to be attached to your camera.In the instructions, it showed them pulling it away as they put it on the camera, but I found that too fiddly. I carefully removed the pull tag fully and held (by the edges carefully - no fingers on the adhesive side) the screen protector and aligned up one side to my camera screen.Once you've aligned it, just gently lay it horizontally across the screen and it will 'stick' immediately. You'll see what looks like a liquid travelling across your screen as it seals itself in. Moments later - the job is done.You now have a protected camera screen and of course, that is easy to keep clean too.All in all - a great little kit. The only downside seems a tad expensive for what it is - but then in relative to the cost of the camera, it isn't even 50% of what a battery costs.. and I dread to think how much a rear screen would cost to replace!

Bought this screen protector for my new Sony A1.It fits perfectly and protects the screen. Really easy to fit and no bubbles at all. Genuine Sony protector is worth the money.

This screen protector fitted my Sony A7iii perfectly, is of a very high quality, and generally does a very good job. The protector is a hard, glassy surface — not soft or plastic-ie at all — and optically it’s perfect, as if it’s not there at all. There is maybe a 0.5mm gap at all edges to the magnesium body, but I cannot imagine making it any bigger. It is an excellent product.I found the instructions for fitting it easy to follow, and achieved a square, near perfect adhesion to the rear LCD. I had one very, very small dot of a bubble right at the edge of the protector, which likely came about from me slightly bending/denting the glass as I placed it, but it’s otherwise flawless.This protector _is_, without a doubt, overpriced for what you get. That being said, I personally think that Sony’s full frame lineup is vastly underpriced, and I’d still say that my a7 plus this protector was a steal for what I paid, so I don’t regret my purchase. There are almost certainly cheaper products which do a similarly good job, but I tend to stick to the manufacturer’s official accessories, where they exist, and this protector is of similar quality to the camera it is on. Others my quite reasonably opt for a cheaper option — it’s your call.

First one that was sent to me had been previously opened. Was missing a cleaning cloth and the protective fi had been removed and reapplied meaning it was covered in dust and unusable. Amazon resent a replacment and the new one had the cloth and was perfect. Stuck in place perfectly without any bubbles and provides the extra protection for the screen. Super solid and robust.

Here's more of the contempt some manufacturers have for customers. This excellent screen protector should have been included with the camera on purchase. Why not? The answer is that the big tech companies get to do what they like and customers' complaints are ignored. Of course, it's not only Sony: hello Apple, etc etc. Other than that, this is a must-have for anyone who's already spent a fortune on their Sony full-frame mirrorless camera.

Fits the A7III perfectly. Agree with other commenter that it is on the expensive side, but when you consider you are protecting your camera usually worth over £2000 with the 'official' protector, it really becomes a non-issue. Would anyone turn down buying a full-frame sony camera if it costed £2033 rather than £2000?

I have bought this screen protect for my Sony A1 camera. In fact I've bought it 3 times. And each time it's failed. The problem is not it's functionality. It works quite well. However, adhesion to the camera screen is very poor. Once it starts to peel off, particularly at the edges, a bubble appears. And there's no going back. The problem gets wors and it needs to be replaced. At £29 a piece you will be advised to avoid this product. It's also fiddly to apply. Sony advises when applying to get it right first time. Sony seems to be covering itself for all eventualities.

Easy to apply, no bubbles and the touchscreen works. What else do you need to know?

Ich habe schon seit vielen Jahren ein original Sony Schutzglas an meiner A7rII. Im Gegensatz zu den meisten Displays dieser Baureihe, sieht mein Display noch aus wie am ersten Tag. Das steigert natürlich auch den Wiederverkaufswert enorm. Trotz des hohen Preisen war es für mich also keine Frage, auch am Display der A7III ein original Glas anzubringen. Dieses hier passt perfekt und das Display lässt sich wie gewohnt bedienen.Auch ich kann nur dazu raten, das Anbringen im Bad zu machen, nachdem die Dusche eine Weile heiß gelaufen ist. So wie man das beim Reinigen des Sensors auch macht. Das bindet die Staubpartikel in der Luft und man hat hinterher keinen Staub unter dem Glas. Wenn man das geduldig und gewissenhaft macht, klappt das prima. Daher kann ich einige schlechte Bewertung diesbezüglich nicht nachvollziehen. Wenn der Anwender Fehler macht, sollte man das nicht auf den Artikel schieben. Wem seine teure Kamera lieb ist, sollte das Schutzglas unbedingt anbringen.

C'est beaucoup trop cher pour une protection d'écran (encore une fois Sony abuse sur le prix) mais force est de constater qu'elle s'installe facilement, parfaitement et sans une bulle.
