I recently decided to quit smoking, and after some other failed methods, I opted to try nicotine patches as a first step towards kicking the habit.The patches come in individually sealed packages, making them easy to carry around and apply whenever necessary. Application is easy, and it stays all day without movement. Easy to wear, almost invisible, and the instructions are clear.First I tried applying one patch, but because I have a serious addiction, decided to increase the number of patches as advised in the instruction. I also realised that the best place for me to wear is my arm, because I got a slight reaction when I applied them to my stomach area (some skin redness and mild itching around the application site). However, these symptoms were temporary and disappeared when I removed the patch.First three to five days I didn't notice any reduction in the cravings, only my metabolism accelerated which was definitely a bonus before the summer holidays :)After a week I noticed the difference in the taste of the cigarettes, probably my body got a generous amount of nicotine, and I managed to reduce them a bit. In my case, that's a big success. I am on my tenth day now, and I will continue to use them and then see how I'm doing before proceeding to the next step.So far so good :) Thank you :)

Compared to leading brands these didn’t seem to work ,

I liked the fact they are cheaper, you can just rip each packet rather than cut open and they are a much better design than other brands I've tried as they adhere to the skin all round (without loose corners etc). and don't leave gummy residue.However- and it's a big however - they did absolutely NOTHING in terms of reducing my cravings or helping me cope, it was like giving up smoking using will-power alone, so they were actually completely useless for the intended purpose. Whilst I was trying to quit with these it was hell, I felt much better (but poorer) after switching back to a different brand.It seems like an example of it being too good to be true!
