Lamy Black Steel Replacement Nib Extra Fine

I treated myself to a new purple Lamy Al Star but it came with a medium nib which I have plenty already on other brands of fountain pen. So I ordered the extra fine nib in this gorgeous brushed black steel. Im so pleased I did as it looks absolutely gorgeous with the purple...see my piks below. I love the Lamy written in gold on the nib itself...very elegant. I already have the extra fine nib on my green blue AL star Lamy so I knew already I loved it, but really fancied the black it looks so much nicer. My images dont really do it justice they really are beautiful nibs. Really happy no problems I wrote straight away and didn't have to fiddle with the tines at all to get the ink flowing. Perfect!!! Definitely recommend these nibs, barely any feedback despite being extra fine, writes beautifully, love this!

I like thin lines and my writing can be quite petite. This nib is great, it flows nicely even when your writing pace is fast, it doesn't skip at all. Not too sharp meaning it does not ruin or scratch the paper. It's sturdy enough, I tried to put a fair amount of pressure on it and it wouldn't bend. It is a high quality Lamy product and I love using it every day.

This is the perfect replacement for the standard supplied medium nib. Extra Fine is now very similar to the writing with a fine gel pen. My writing is now easier to read and will now use less ink. If i had anything negative to say it would be that the pen now feels a little scratchy when writing, but don't let this put you off as the clearer writing and less ink usage will more than make up for this.

It seems insane that such a small piece of metal can cost so much, but it's worth it. It really is a quality extra fine nib. There's not much in the way of scratchiness (which you might be wary of with so fine a nib) but you will hear the difference when you write with it. I've had no experience of it drying out in my Lamy Nexx - so don't worry on that account. And it will also fit Safaris and Al-Stars as well as Nexx pens - a bit of googling will show you several "how to" videos..

I find that writing with an extra fine nib is easier so bought this to replace the medium nib that came with my Lamy Safari. Very easily to replace - especially if you use the sticky tape method (put a piece of tape over the nib and gently slide it off the pen). The black steel looks much better on the pen as well.

I have quite small handwriting and so I bought a Lamy Safari fountain pen with a fine nib. I thought this would be fine enough for me but the line turned out to be too thick so I decided to try the Extra Fine nib as a replacement. It's just the right thickness of line and means my handwriting no longer looks messy and smudged. Perfect.

Brilliant nib, came really really quickly! It's a little scratchy but I think this is more to do with the low quality fibrous paper I was trying it on

Reception ce jour de la "plume" pour mon Lamy. Première chose, l'envoi est sérieux, livrée dans une enveloppe matelassée, la plume protégée dans une pochette. L'adresse et le petit mot de remerciement sont écrits à la plume ce qui me donne une confiance supplémentaire, en tout cas, pour moi, car cela m'indique que si j'ai un problème avec la plume, niveau écriture ou autre, je me dis que le vendeur écrivant avec un stylo plume sait de quoi il parle.Quant à la plume elle même, installée sur mon Lamy, correspond à mon attente. A voir sur le long terme.

It was very easy to change the nib. This is genuine Lamy part and it writes very smoothly.

A great extra fine nib, easy to swap out to. I don't find it all scratchy. My only gripe is that I feel even this extra fine is really only a fine. Although I do understand that found in pens can be more challenging to get as fine as rollers.

It feels like writing with a finest ball point pen. It gives a scratching sound while writing. Good nib for sketching too.
