Terra Distribution Japanese Tamagoyaki Omelette Pan [ Made in Japan ] Pre-seasoned Carbon Steel Egg Frying Pan (Medium (7.09’’x 4.92’’))

Finally! I found the perfect Tamagoyaki pan that is actually made in Japan and is small and non stick. I took the picture with a packaged tea bag so you could see the sizing. Perfect to cook 2-3 eggs! Really happy with this purchass and its price. Highly recommend!

Worked beautifully for 3 months with use of approximately 13 times before the black non stick surface started to come off. This was after babying it during cleaning and storing it away from other pans that might scratch it. Thinking there was leftover egg after cleaning, I used my finger mail to gently scrape the “egg” away. Turns out it was the metal shining through. Plus, just my fingernail was able to remove the black coating.

Non-stick comes off leaving bare metal.

I purchased this pan thinking I could trust it as I’m Japanese and have used rectangle pans to make omelets for Sushi many times before. Very disappointed!It’s very hard to work with. The short sides are not angled enough against the bottom, which makes it difficult to insert the spatula under the egg batter. Also, it says it’s pre-seasoned and it will be nonstick as it you use it more. And I used a little oil all the same. But it sticks too badly right from the start that I could hardly continue like this until it gets “ more nonstick”. I’m returning it.

Now I remember, this pan was too small. My hands are over 7 1/2 inches long and this pan was smaller than that, the flame on the stove would have overwhelmed it. That's why I returned it. Unless you have a really, really, really tiny burner this pan will not work. NOT RECOMMENDED!
