great customer service
UPDATE!Since I wrote a negative review, customer service reached out to resolve my issue. I was provided the new version of their watch as well as, 3 months of free service. SO far the watch has worked fine and has very few service issues. They provided amazing customer service and I was blown away! Thank you!The first two days the watch worked great with no issues. Then there was no service, restarted the watch and it worked. Now the watch is not working at all for the last couple of days. Restarted it and then noticed it said no SIM card. Well, the sim card came already installed. I used the tiny screwdriver that was provided and then struggled to get the plastic cover off, I had to scratch and damage the watch just to get to the SIM card. I removed and replaced and it, seemed to work for the moment. But I assume there will be more issues. I am now in a 2-year contract for $10/ month for the service that does not work. I don't want to buy my 9-year-old a cell phone and thought this was a great way to track him in the neighborhood and call him. Looks like he will get a cell phone sooner than expected.

Watch did not work and customer service was the worst.
If you live in the United States, select XPLORA at your own risk.XPLORA sold me a watch that did not work and has provided false information about replacing it. The watch never received a text message. It only worked for about 20% of calls and would quickly drop calls when it did connect. I live in the suburbs of a metro area and we have quality network coverage. The watch was a Christmas gift and was not opened for several weeks. I opened multiple tickets with XPLORA customer service who often took several days to respond. Responses were not in English and had to be translated. I was unable to return for a refund, but a XPLORA representative did offer to send me a “new model” in exchange. They sent me mail in labels, and I mailed in the watch. Two months later, no replacement has arrived, but they continue to bill me for a monthly subscription that I attempted to cancel.I have never been able to talk with a real person. I was never supplied with a phone number, and I do not see one listed on their website. They have not responded (other than an auto generated message in a foreign language) to my last attempts to contact their customer service department. At this point, I feel like I am being scammed and stolen from because I am unable to stop subscription billing.Do yourself a favor and find a better option than XPLORA.

Pretty cool watch
Got this watch for a SIX year old. We like that we can call him/or he can call us if he needs to especially when he's at school or at extracurricular programs. The design is sleek and not bulky like other kids' watches. I like that we can call him directly from cell phone app without having to go into the Xplora app. However, you need to do that to exchange messages your child. The child gets an actual phone number that can be dialed by other family members and whom he can call easily if they're added into his contacts.Messaging: Very few choices to choose from. Wish there were more. Child is unable to write out their own text (which my child did not like and wished he can send actual texts to us). It does have decent emoji selections. The only negative thing we found is that the "X" button to return to previous screens/exit of a current location on the watch is VERY tiny at the top right hand of the screen and hard to select and it gets annoying having to try and hit that right spot just to exit out.It does have school mode hours you can personalize. Wish it has a vibrate mode or a way it can silently remind the child to check the watch for a missed message or call during school time - because many times, we've come to find out he barely even looked at the watch if it was on silent mode until switched back to normal tone.GPS locating: Pretty good. But could use a tighter radius especially focusing on a school radius only and not a few blocks away within the safety zone alert.Other apps we and our son thought was cool and actually used were the: Alarm, Flashlight, Steps counter, and calculator. It does also have a Calendar, Recording, and Music app.Overall, we like this watch and would recommend.

Bad service and does not work, poor customer service
Purchased two of these as gifts for my children and the first week they worked great. Since then, the band has broken and you can’t find replacement ones (I’ve already ordered two different sets from Amazon and they don’t work) and over 50% of the time the calls work and my daughters battery drains within hours.I’m in a two year contract for TWO lines and I’ve reached out to customer service with nothing. Do not buy!Great idea, waste of money!

Great for a starter
I bought this for my 9yr old. This was perfect to start her off. She loves it! I can track her, I can add numbers to it. My only problem with it she can’t text what she wants to actually say. She can voice text but there is only so many seconds. Theres not a lot of time. But! She can receive and call which is the plus of this watch and is the best benefit. This watch is so durable, she’s lost it twice and we have been able to track it, find it, and it's been returned in perfect condition. Definitely worth the buy.

Customer care contacted and resolved the issues by replacing watch
Initially faced the following issues, but customer care contacted and resolved the issues by replacing watch with a newer version.1- After seeing the package and the way the manual and other items placed in side and the used scars on watch, i can surely tell that i received a used open box watch.2- battery drains very quick, i didn expect the watch stays only 5-6 hrs.3- we have good at&t network at home, but still watch is not getting proper signal, and also the weird thing is..i get blank calls from the watch few minutes after my kid tried calling and disconnected the call.4- i am using safety zone feature, and the watch is just beside me under charging, but i got a message to mobile that watch left safety zone.5- the gps location history is weird, it is showing the places which we didn’t even go, my kid is just 5 years old and he cannot go by his own, so Iam sure that the gps history is showing some random locations in the history.

Great for nearly Teen, before a mobile phone
The media could not be loaded. We ve owned this watch a few months now, and was primarily for my daughter who is 11, walking home from school and spending time out with her friends. Easier and safer I'm my opinion than a mobile phone. It's basic to use, but does everything it needs too, it's durable and secure to her wrist, so no chance of her putting it down and losing it.It has multiple different functions, takes a reasonable priced SIM which fits securely inside. She can text and call freely to pre loaded numbers, which works really well for us. She is able to call or text whenever she leaves to come home, as well as added benefit that we can call and text her.It comes with preloaded statement freely available. The parent app is easy to install from the playstore and works well tracking the watch. Battery lasts really well.

Montre indispensable
The media could not be loaded.
