Good quality, has all the fun and necessary functions of stitches. It stars with the reverse and needle position buttons where you need them handy. The table is large and easy on/off, definitely a necessity. Instruction manual clear to read and find sections. Low sounding machine. Foot pedal basic. I have sewn Demin, cotton, webbing, etc and no issues. No tension issues. Feed down works well. The needle threader is easy yet seems to be way to big of a contraption on this machine to do a simple job. The bobbin is easy to use yet it is a hit and miss with winding on its own up/down the spool evenly and one needs to constantly hold and move the thread up/down while its winding. My last Brother was same way, not sure why, its threaded correctly, just never winds a bobbin correctly.

This machine is a workhorse. More extras than most anyone could ever use. Easy to operate. Comes with everything a sewer could need, except the thread and fabric. Have been sewing for nearly 70 years and had several very good machines, but this brand is tops. Quality, price and ease of use are A-1, and it’s not finicky or difficult to use.

This is my second Brother sewing machine. It's easy to use and quieter than my last one. Comes with an extension table for larger projects and multiple sewing feet. It also has a hard cover. I'm happy with this Model and will be able to grow into advance sewing projects.
