LubeLocker For 9.75" Differential Cover Gasket

Ford, in it's ongoing wisdom, decided to put different rear ends in the same model year trucks so you cannot go by the year to determine fit. The number of bolts on the cover are the same and not even the VIN identifies which one is used, you must look at the differential and not if it is more round or has a slight "ear" pointing toward the passenger side of the truck. The one with the slight ear is the 9.75" differential this is made for. No matter the size differential you have, none of them have a drain plug meaning that every fluid change will entail removing the cover. You can either remove the RTV and clean the surface, reapply RTV, and repeat every fluid change or save time and hassle by using a gasket.The LubeLocker gasket was well protected in shipment by the packaging and the quality is apparent on first inspection. There are multiple sealing lines around the gasket ensuring a leak free experience even if one somehow gets damaged. The material feels solid and although it will be hidden from view when installed, it looks nice. This is a perfect fit for the 9.75" differential and best of all, it is reusable so buy once, cry once. Total time for a fluid change with the LubeLocker is roughly 15 minutes with most of that being cleaning up the cover and wiping out any sludge. Compare that to almost an hour of scraping old RTV off the sealing surfaces and then removing residue. The most important question, does it work? I've had mine installed for two weeks and not a single drop for a leak. I highly recommend this as a replacement for the RTV if you do your own maintenance.

Replaced my factory differential cover gasket with this lube locker gasket. Fits perfect on the differential and went on with no RTV sealant. Mess free install and no leaks. Works great.

Great gasket, will see on durability and resuseability in the future. Packaging was good quality, heavy duty and protective. Fit F150 with 9.75" perfectly. Sealed cover/differential well, no leaks. 1000× better than RTV and no mess what so ever. Clean flat mating surfaces and this gasket is all you need.

This item was installed in a 2019 F150 and was a fantastic fit. No issues with leaking or the seal. It was so much easier to install this versus having to install a factory gasket with RTV. No cure time needed. Just take the old one off, clean the surface of contaminants and old RTV and install the new gasket. Torque in a star pattern.I plan to put lube lockers on all my differentials when I need to replace fluids in the future.

The right choice ! Installed re-useable gaskets before , this one is the best. Easy install and the seal quality is top notch. Direct fit on 9.75 differential. Recommend.

I got a new (to me) old truck and changed the gear oil, replacing the old worn out caulk with this nice gasket. It makes the job much neater and cleaner and future fluid changes will be streamlined.
