This product is fantastic!It's controlled by app. Very easy to connect. Just make sure that lamp is rather close to router. I had to bring mine closer. About a meter away.I think it's fantastic that you can be in another country and turn your light on. Without disturbing the neighbours.My boy had a lot of fun with it too. It has optons to set it for party mood or reading and also a disco.I would buy againI would recommendUpdate: I have dropped my lamp and the light bulb stopped working after 3 days - it looks like it's very gentle.

Wow!!! What can I say - I have never been so excited about something so simple lol! Arrived promptly and well packaged by Amazon.I was super excited about getting this and couldn't wait to get it in place. I chose my landing light as the location and it was simple to switch the bulb over - it's very similar to a normal light bulb but a little heavier.The instructions are included so you just need to follow the simple 3-step guide to sync the bulb to your phone. I downloaded the free App and had the lightbulb up and running within about 5 minutes in total.I love it!! There are so many different settings, colours and even timer! It can be turned on and off remotely so long as you are connected to wifi. I usually have timers on when I am out of the house but these are just for lamps. With this light bulb I can now have the "big" lights on at certain times too in order to detter burglars!! I'm seriously impressed with this invention and can't wait to order more.I'd highly recommend these especially over the holiday period if you need to leave your house. Preset the timer and your lights will go on! 15th Aug 2018No response at all from the supplier with regards to the second faulty bulb so in a nutshell, service not as great as I thought it was. Such a pity really given the history with this product.7th Aug 2018 - I have had to ammend my review from 5 to 3 stars.Unfortunatly now the second globe has blown and now just emits a gentle blue light like the first one did. So, two blown bulbs in the space of 7 months. First one was swapped out and I must say the customer service was absolutely excellent, hopefully it will be as good with this second faulty bulb?Start of first review.What a great idea, now I can go out in the evenings or during the day and not have to worry about lights being on when it gets dark and I return home.The scheduler allows me to have the lights come on and off automatically daily or on specific days or I can just turn them on or off from my mobile phone at my leisure.Service has been amazing from iLombex themselves, had an issue with one of the lights that failed after a few months and it was replaced very quickly and with very little fuss at all.There are many such products on the market and I'm glad I chose iLombex as I'm not sure that I'd have gotten the same service from anyone else?

This is the second of the Lombex bayonet bulbs I have bought and I have to say I really like them. So on first opening the box you find your bulb and an instruction leaflet. Before starting download the lombex app to your phone or tablet. Also if your internet router is broadcasting 5g log into your router and temporarily turn off 5g (dont worry you can switch it back on once your bulb has connected) follow the instructions now and you should have no problem connecting to your network. You will then be able to choose from a whole spectrum of colours and switch your lamp/light on/off from your phone. If you have Alexa now log into your Alexa app and follow instructions there to add the new device. You can then instruct Alexa to turn on or off your light and verbally instruct Alexa on a colour. I would like to try the led strips and smart socket by Lombex next. When I get round to getting them I will post an indepthe review on those products too. I highly recommend this product.

As a foot in the door to a 'smart home', this is a great way to start. Offers basic functionality at a low price. But that low price does show through...The Good:+ Cheap+ Easy to install+ Works with Alexa and Google Home+ RGB+ Can set timers+ Can remotely manage (more on that later)+ Can share the light control with others (but no way of restricting that control so could have them turn the light on/off and change the colour whenever they want from anywhere!)The Bad:- App is lacking in a lot of features/control- If you want to change the colour/brightness of the light via google/Alexa. It is a separate command input to turning it on- I can now only remotely manage the light via Google assistant and NOT through the app, the light only is seen as offline.I've connected the light to google home in order to use the routine function in the mornings and night. I used the on app time feature to use it as a morning wake up for the winter months as a budget 'sunrise' light. Worked pretty well and saved me a good £80!The app has preset modes which can be 'customised'. But not by much. You are really only able to change colour and slightly adjust the speeds of the animations a little.

First had issues with 5GHz WiFi - beware, this does not work with the latest.Also disabled WiFi 5Ghz and only left 2.4Ghz up, still nothing... have gone through the setup and instructions a million times... now I have a really expensive smart bulb that can't do anything more than the regular bulbs.

Eigentlich sehr gut..... Aber die erste von drei Birnen ging heute kaputt....hoffe das der Rest hält was er verspricht..... Habe die Birnen 3 Monate in Betrieb.Edit : nun ist die Zweite Birne kaputt. Schön in der Reihenfolge wie wir sie gekauft haben und das nach drei Monaten. Der Kundenservice ist nett und freundlich. Aber jetzr reicht es. Mal sehen ob ich nach erneuten Kontakt Ersatz bekomme....Edit : Den einen Stern gibt es für den Support. Der sich nach der ersten Anfrage recht schnell gemeldet hat.. Mal sehen ob , und wann Sie auf meine zweite Abfrage reagieren.Edit: Nachdem ich dem Kundendienst mitteilte das zwei Birnen schon kaput seien schrieben die zurück ich solle ihnen ein Video schicken. Wenn die Birne tot ist was soll ich da filmen. Warscheinlich bezogen sie das auf die flackernde Birne die ich zurück geschickt habe. Problem der Verständigung in zwei Sprachräume denke ich. Davon ab habe ich jetzt 2 Birnen die noch intakt sind und drei Birnen die Mängel hatten. Möge jeder selbst seine Schlüsse ziehen

Funktionen: alle Farben, warmweiß, kaltweiß, dimmen, Zeitschaltuhr, Szenen, Farbstoffe.Lieferumfang: Anleitung auf Enlisch mit QR Code zur Android und Apple App und LeuchtmittelDas Leuchtmittel funktioniert wirklich nur mit WLAN. Auch wenn alles eingestellt ist, wenn das WLAN weg ist blinkt es nur noch und will verbunden werden. Die Einstellungen sind anscheinend nur in der App gespeichert. Das Smartphone muss nicht unbedingt mit wlan verbunden sein, es funktioniert auch mit mobilen Daten. Alexa funktioniert auch.

Grundsätzlich hat die LED-Glühbirne gut funktioniert. Ich hatte auch keine Probleme mit der WLAN-Verbindung. Eines Tages roch es stark nach verbrannter Elektronik und sie glimmte nur noch. Seither warte ich auf Ersatz (das ist nun gute 2 Monate her) --> Nicht empfehlenswert!

Also wenn ich die Rezensionen so lese, lese ich nur gutes. Das kann ich leider nicht bestätigen. Punkt eins - jemand schrieb etwas von einer deutschen Beschreibung. Also ich hab nur alles in englisch. Punkt 2 Die App ist zwar auf deutsch , die Hilfe dazu nur in englisch. Punkt 3 Ich hab die Lampe nicht intallieren können ,da sie im WLAN nicht gefunden worden ist. Ich hab eine Fritz Box 7490 also ziemlich modern, welche auf 2,4 und auch 5 GHz sendet und empfängt. Das war bei allen anderen Smart Home Geräten auch alles problemlos . Nur diese Lampe will absolut nicht. Es kommt immer nur das die App nur mit 2,4 GHz arbeitet. GANZ TOLL ! Wie gesagt , das machtdie Fritz Box auch und dennoch geht nix. Mein Fazit ELEKTROSCHROTT unbedingt überarbeiten !
