NUBWO HW03 USB Headsets with Microphone for Work, Volume Control for Office, Classroom, Chat, Class, Meeting, on Computer, Laptop, Mac

I’ve on too many Zoom calls (still) so I’m trying to up my game and use a headset for better voice clarity. This Nubwo seemed like a decent set up, so I gave it a shot.It comes in a nice simple carry bag, and while some may not care for it, I like the bright orange cord. It’s a nice contrast from all the black cords I have, and makes it easy to spot. There is an inline switch for Mic on/off, Vol up/down and turn it all off.On my Mac setup, the headset was recognized right away with no issues. The headset does a decent job of reproducing speech or music, but I’m having some issues with the microphone. It seems way too sensitive, producing a constant rumble from a ceiling fan in the room. Then again, looking at a voice recording it’s clear that it has limited dynamic range. Can you sweeten this and adjust it? Sure, but it’s still tweaky. I have some foam mic windscreens somewhere... I’ll have to see if I have a small one for a lavalier and see if it works.For purely adequate use, there is nothing wrong with this headset; it does what it sets out to do. I can hear myself and others pretty well, but I’m not as sure that my voice is being recorded well. I asked some people how I sound, and they can tell I’m using a headset... to them, I sound like I’m in a small room. I’ll keep working on this though. The headset is at a great price point and if I can find the right mic settings, this will be a winner!

It has been a struggle finding headphones for my office that I can hear in both years until I came across this set. I am able to hear very clear and this has become useful daily for me especially because it comes with USB plug to plug into my laptop I. Can receive and make calls from it. It feels heavy duty and good quality. It came in a beautiful Box labeled with the headset on ithe ear cushions are comfortable. The headband is adjustable and it works with all of the software we use at my office.

I spend a lot of time in online meetings and generally use the speaker and microphone built into my computer. However, there can be too much ambient noise and distractions, This headset is of good quality: I can hear other people speaking more clearly and they can hear me better. Because my laptop has USB-C ports and this headset has a standard USB connector, I do need to use an adapter but that's not a problem, as I also need the adapter for my external camera.A pet peeve I have with a lot of electronics manufacturers on Amazon is that they do not provide sufficient contact information in the packaging. The box containing the headset provides the name and Chinese address of the manufacturer, Nubwo. The enclosed User Guide states that the product has a 12-month warranty and lifetime technical support, but there is no way to contact the manufacturer by email or through a website. So much for standing behind one's product.The headset seems well-made and should hold up with normal use and it comes with a soft pouch for storage or travel.

UPDATE 07/10/2024One of the side pieces just snapped in half while my partner was on a phone call. So these are clearly not made to last very long with moderate use.***************The sound is a little tinny on these headphones. I wouldn't use them for listening to music or watching a movie. They're adequate for online meetings, webinars, and phone calls.The unpadded headband becomes uncomfortable after a few minutes. I found the earpieces became uncomfortable after a short time. I was watching a webinar, and when I tried to switch to my old headset after about 30 minutes, the old set wouldn't work, then the new set wouldn't work, and I finally had to close out and log back into the meeting to get any sound at all.I like that the microphone is actually on a pivot unlike some headsets. It's on a somewhat flexible extension which may be beneficial for some.I like that the cord is red (or maybe orange), so it's easy to tell which cable is the one for the headset. The control panel on the cord was defective out of the box. The light for speaker mute stays on all the time, whether the speaker is muted or not. The button does work, it's just that the light stays on instead of just coming on when it's muted. The microphone mute light works in concert with the button as it should.I would not buy these again.

Unfortunately, I could not get my MacBook Air to recognize this headset. I have used a half dozen different headsets in the past and have never had a problem before this one. It does not show up in the System Preferences menu, and there's no way to get the sound into the headphones unless it does. The manual suggests some troubleshooting fixes but nothing fixed it.Oddly enough, the mic worked right away, without my having to change anything in System Preferences. So, it's not totally non-functional, but it's also not usable for my purposes.

My work headset finally died, so work send me a new headset. The new headset is very heavy, took some time to set up so that my computer recognized it; I felt like I was on the shooting range! I saw this headset and wanted to see how it compared. So lightweight and the headband easily adjusted for a smaller head. I'm not sure about the noise cancellation yet, but I'm still playing with the headset. The absolute best thing was that all I did was plug the USB cord into my laptop and my headset was ready to go in under 30 seconds!! I love the bright cord. The only suggestion I would make is if the control settings on the cord were flipped so that when I look down to click a button, I don't have to flip the box control myself. I love that the controls have a bright red light so that I know when I'm on mute. My expensive work headset, has been returned to its box and is sitting in a cabinet. I do need to find a hook to hang this headset on near my computer, as I really enjoy using this for work and meetings.
