Baby's best friend!
Our mattress that came with the bassinet was super thin and uncomfortable, to the point the baby would not sleep in it. So we opted to try this out, and boy am I sorry I didn't do it sooner! This mattress is super soft, yet still firm enough to keep baby comfortably on their back in one place. Our baby loves it and now sleeps through the night (hallelujah!!). I will say, it was a little bigger than the measurements, but with some gentle manipulation, it fit very snuggly into the bassinet, even with the mattress protector and sheet on. 100% worth investing in!

Perfect for bassinet
Mom hack! Upgrade your baby gear. I had a portable bassinet that had been discontinued. The mattress it came with was thin, and a terrible material. This was such an improvement! It’s firm and breathable, perfect for baby. I was so happy to find a company that had unique mattress dimensions. Even came earlier than expected!

The item was costly but the size didn’t work with the basket I had, it’s costing me $18 to return. that is just ridiculous.

Long Sleeps!
I use this mattress with our Baby Bjorn Cradle bassinet. It’s slightly too small so I put this mattress down first and then put the thin Bjorn mattress pad on top, this seems to eliminate any gaps without sagging where gaps exist with the First Essentials mattress alone. This was a game changer - I first realized it significantly improved sleep when my niece slept 6hrs straight at just a few months old. I now have a newborn using this setup and she’s only waking one time per night. From the time we got back from the hospital through her 1 month birthday, she’s been sleeping 5-7hrs at night with this mattress. Highly recommend!!

We used this mattress for inside our baby’s bassinet and he sleeps on it perfectly (where before he would only sleep while being held).
