We got this for my beginning eater, and for my 4yo who has a feeding disorder - they are still learning to use utensils and learning to feed themselves. I got these so that the plate would stay still while they were trying to scoop food out and it has been working excellently! We’ve had them over a year I believe and they still seem to be good as new. They stay put really well, I would say a one year old can almost never pull them up if they are stuck to a non porous surface. But even my wooden table they stick pretty good. They aren’t too difficult to detach by an adult, but sometimes suction to the counter or table more than I expect. I hand wash ours and sometimes put it in the dishwasher if I remove all the food from it. I think they would be effective for toddlers who are prone to throwing their dishes. It would at least give you enough time to get over and grab the dish before all the food is on the floor. Haha!

We LOVE these plates. The design is perfect for our toddler, he’s pretty chill but can have toddler moments where he likes to see if he can launch his plate into space and the suction cups are strong enough for his largest fit. The dividers are perfect for his meals and they clean up so easily. The lids are a game changer for those nights where he decides he’s not hungry or all of a sudden forgets he loves Mac and cheese.

These have been great! The suction cups are very sensitive and stick without even having to push down on them. My daughter can pull them up but only with lots of effort. Even with her being able to pull them up they still work great! I love that they are silicone, are dishwasher safe, and clean easily.
