Primos Trigger Stick Gen 3 Tall Tripod

I borrowed a set of gen 2 sticks for deer stalking and immediately bought these gen 3s. The gen 3 sticks can get down really low for sitting and kneeling and are more stable low down than the genes. The camera spigot is a bonus. The trigger release for the height adjustment works flawlessly and is great in the field. They are not as stable as quad sticks (viperflex) but are easier to use. A bonus is that with the camera spigot you can mount a saddle clamp if you prefer. A really first rate product for any long arm shooting or indeed photography.

Great quality sticks

Excellent tripod, very stable and highly adjustable! Easy to carry and very fast mount, absolutely does the job! Only one down side will be that it does scratch fairly easy for an outdoor item.

I must admit that I procrastinated a long time before buying this. I mean the best part of £140 for a walking stick with a joystick on top! A lot of money, right? Well, if you'll excuse the pun, I bit the bullet and bought it. Wow! How incorrect can an initial assessment be? This thing is quite simply incredible. Whilst walking about it feels like a comfortable walking stick (says he who has never used a walking stick in his life). Point being it doesn't get in the way. Then you want to take the shot. Pulling the trigger seamlessly releases the legs to whatever length is comfortable for that shot. Up or down, no odds, easily adjustable with a very stable shooting platform! Gone are the days of wondering whether you can get an angle by leaning on that tree or fencepost over there. Gone are the days of wondering if you can make a clean kill from a standing shot. This is a perfect product. It come with an alternative to the vee shaped gun rest head in a camera mount head and I'm looking forward to using that too in the near future to stabilise a video camera.In summary, if you shoot pests and use an air rifle, .22 or .17 rimfire, this tool is indispensable. Get it, you won't regret it!

So useful when shooting. It’s quick to employ, sturdy and provides adequate support for my air rifle in the field. The trigger style grip is so well designed. Looks good, robust and does what is intended for: steady support. A highly recommended addition to any serious sport shooting kit.

Does the job as expected.

I've only used this tripod once but, so far, I am definitely impressed. It arrived in goodtime - the packing was very casual (but everything was okay) - and I unpacked the tripod. I have to say that I did not like the plastic packet sealed around the top which, as I struggled to open it, cracked into nasty sharp shards but - once the tripod was free - I squeezed the trigger and the legs dropped beautifully (and with a sort of well-made and positive 'thunk' sound). And then they were easily adjustable to suite uneven ground - so I went outside and did some shooting. As a shooting rest the tripod is very good but, due to the horrible weather at the moment, I haven't tried the low level settings yet.I also bought the camera mount (actually, I'm not sure if I bought it or if it came with the tripod) - but it is good (well, I think it is). It attaches via what they call the 'New Quick Detach Yoke System with Integrated Lock'. Strangely, the bolt that screws into the camera was too long for my camera but, beyond this, making the swap from rifle mount to camera mount was easy - and I liked it. It is a nice little addition to an already nice product.I like this tripod very much but on the negative side. 1) It isn't cheap. 2) I did not like the packaging. 3) It would be great if the tripod had a little storage thing for the camera mount. Maybe a little threaded hole somewhere - but ensuring the mount was always present. None of these detract from a 5 Star review.I will update this review if required.

It is very easy to set up using the lockable trigger.It will be used as a rifle rest.
