Warm and lightweight.

We had previously gotten some cloth face shields but they were very uncomfortable to use. They smashed your nose and were tight on the head and face. When I saw these I was impressed with the loose look to them. When we got them we were having a very cold spell in Missouri and my son, who works outside on the ranch, took one and was very impressed with the warmth and comfort of it. the face part is easily moved up or down and the chest and back length is great for protecting these areas. I would totally recommend them and I have purchased two more. I will definitely be ordering more for the next winter.

This is overall a very solid product.Pros:* Soft material* Nice large hood* Keeps my face and head warm even in temperatures well below freezing* Price is excellent for what you get* Easy to put on* Excellent style that seems to go well even with clothing of a different color* It's easy to pull the mask part down so it is just a hood with a high collarCons:* A little lumpy in places* The mask part should probably be made out of a different, more breathable material around the mouth, or it will trap moisture* The mask should probably be more elastic, so that it can fit more snugly on your face. If you're taking it down and putting it up at all, it gets loose, and will sit an inch or three away from your mouth, which kind of defeats the point.* The soft material attracts dust immediately, which stands out a LOT and is can't be easily brushed off, but almost requires cleaning* With the mask down, it's hard to get off because the neck hole... Contracts somehow?Overall, it's a great buy, especially for the price. I expect if it was more expensive (in the $20+ range) they may pay more attention to the materials and fit, and then it would become basically indispensable. But at this price, fancy materials would be overkill. The fitting, however, could definitely be improved on the mask and neck hole in particular.

I kept my mind open when i first bought this as it was only like $9 when i got it so i wasnt expecting much. I can say it fits snuggly at first (which is what you want) and does keep your face and neck warm. I used it for a couple days and quite liked it. However the fabric itself will stretch out, especially if you transition between a face mask and a neck warmer configuration. So now when i use it and i configure it to be a face mask, the mouth cover part will be loose and fall off which is a little annoying. So keep that in mind if you're planning on buying this. If you're going somewhere cold for a couple of days and dont often have the need for a balaclava then this is a good choice. But if you're looking for something high performance and long lasting I suggest looking elsewhere. maybe nike or UA.

It is a great item worth it and it feels very warm and feels great on the head

The piece that come up in front is actually a 4 1/2" flap comprised of a double thickness of fleece material that goes all the way around the inside of the hood. This flap, when up, adds a significant amount of insulation around the entire lower part of the head as well as across the lower face. When the flap is down, it sits pretty much unnoticed and out of the way. This is a great design overall. The extra material, however, does make the hood bulkier which means it cannot be folded as small. For example, it will not fit in any of my vest or coat pockets (see update below).OK, there is an issue of a strong chemical smell when it first arrives. You will probably want to wash the hood before you wear it. I soaked it in a bucket of soapy water for a couple of hours with a good rinse afterwards before I machine washed it. The result is that 95% of the chemical smell is gone. I can now comfortable wear it but plan to repeat this process some time in the future.I have a large head and the hood fits me quite comfortably. The shroud tucks well into a vest or jacket. The fleece is thick enough to provides lots of warmth. I have a  Condor Watch Cap Navy Blue  that complements the hood quite well.Update 18 Jan 18: I mentioned above that the hood is too bulky to fit in my vest pocket. Well, with a little compression is actually fits fine. I can actually zip the pocket closed and carry the hood in the vest without any issues. My neck is very sensitive to the cold, and I often wear the hood in the down position with the flap up as a neck gaiter.

Item should be made from wool but it is 100% polyester. Do not buy. You will be disappointed
