Homestyles Naples Off-White Queen Headboard

Glad we took the chance on this cream wood headboard. No chemical smell, like other reviews mentioned. Solid wood and no imperfections. My daughter put it together with zero problems. The trim detail is very nice. Extremely happy with this purchase.

Arrived in fine shape, well packaged. Assembled easily. Looks great and as shown in the photos.

Went together easily, I was concerned based on other reviews that it may not line up with the frame, so I purchased adjustments just in case. They were not necessary. Most headboards are dwarfed by a 17" deep mattress, but this one holds its own and looks great. No issues with the quality. Other reviewers mentioned that it isn't a true white and they are correct. On its own the color looks fine, but when placed near another truly white object (in my case the dresser) you can see the difference. That is the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. All in all this is a great value and I would recommend to others.

We had been looking for some time to find an off-white king headboard that would come to close to our bedroom furniture. When we found this item on Amazon and many of the reviews said it was of an ivory color, we figured we would it give it a try. It arrived in about three days and we found the color was almost a perfect match. Assembly was fairly easy, the only issue was that the screw heads could have been better machined for to fit the included allen wrench. I found using my own tools worked better. Also, the pre-drilled holes on the legs didn't quit match to our bed frame, but it was and easy fix by adding rubber coasters under the frame legs. Overall, we are very pleased and would definitely recommend this product.

Read reviews that this item has an off-gas smell, but figured if we left it in our garage that the smell would go away. Unfortunately, the bad smell does not dissipate. Received this black headboard in October 2024. We opened the package and the bad smell was overpowering and worse than I have experienced with any other cheap furniture. The headboard looks fine and was inexpensive, so we decided to put it in the garage to wait for the chemical smell to go away. The smell improved considerably after a couple weeks, so we figured we would keep the item past the return window and wait a little longer. It is now 6-7 months later and the bad smell is significantly improved, but is not gone. The smell is bad enough that I don’t want the item in the house. Now I have to find a way to dispose of this large item. Really disappointed.

THIS IS NOT WHITE. We purchased a whole set of this line to match the white chair rail in our guest room... only to find out that, in fact, it is a very far cry from the true white of our accents. Fortunately, it works fine in the room anyway because of other colors... but it is a very nice off-white or ivory color and this was not reflected clearly in the product description. The Good: -The 5530 Home Styles set is perfect for our guest room. We love it. -It took 2 people only about 10 minutes to assemble. Very easy. The Not-So-Good: -The assembly was slightly annoying due to a hex wrench being used for most of the screws. -The holes to attach to the bed frame do not line up with our frame. We have a Queen frame and a Queen mattress, and a Queen headboard. These should go together. Because of this, we had to simply lean it against the wall until we have time to drill holes ourselves, or try to find a new frame that will hopefully fit. Without this flaw, I would have ranked it 4/5.

With all the comments about odors/gassing, I thought I should share my experience. The headboard is very well packaged and the wood parts are totally wrapped in a light styrofoam sheathing that almost acts as a plastic bag- so all the gasses have been concentrated from being locked in for months since its manufacture. When I opened the box I could smell what others have commented on, but it was not as strong as some say. I broke the seal on the styro wrap and let it sit for a few days and the smell did ease quite a bit. Took it out of the box at that point and set it in a well ventilated area for a week. Now, even if you put your nose right on the headboard- there is virtually no odor and in the room it is simply not a factor at all. Glad I gambled on the purchase because this headboard is solidly made and absolutely perfectly finished (black). It is beautiful and at the price, nothing short of amazing. With Amazon's return policy, I figured there was nothing to lose; and as it turned out, the gassing was a "nothing burger."
