No setup even required. Put batteries in and pressed the power button. Only issue is that it keeps saying "can't register magic remote" but I think that is only because it may be for a newer model than mine. So that's my fault. Product works great still tho.

So when you first get it, it works great. You can use the voice feature again after not for however many years it's been now, the buttons respond properly, it's a joy. However, it doesn't last long and now I have a remote that - just like the one that came with the TV, the voice no longer works, I have to press the buttons hard and multiple times, I have to press to scroll back because scrolling twice went five times instead. I have to waste time trying new batteries to no avail. It's so disappointing to sound like my parents by wondering why nothing is made with quality in mind anymore. We had one new remote growing up when they bought a universal. How many am I going to have to buy......

Works well and looks and feels like original remote. It has the speak in feature which is nice. I recommend has a backup or replacement remote.

its my 2nd purchase. remotes dont last. maybe 2 remotes every 6months. my recent purchase remote #1 is already starting to not function correctly. Only recommend because its cheap and works for a short bit.

Paired easily with my smart 65” Sony tv. Unfortunately the voice command doesn’t work which is why I bought it. The description says it is made for Sony tv’s. It’s functional for the basic commands so I guess I’ll keep it.

Stopped working correctly after less than 2 months. the pad that controls up/right/down/left either doesn't respond or responds twice now, and just skipping past the next selection when trying to use. I was initially happy with this purchase, as it seemed quite solid and almost like the OEM Samsung remote as far as quality. But if it only lasts 2 months and my original remote lasted well over a decade (and the original Samsung remote still works, the buttons had just worn off the markings from use for over a decade and couldn't make out most of the icons). I can't recommend this remote at this time. Don't waste your $20 on this one if you expect it to last. I'm not even seeing a way to respond to seller for any warranty. Will be buying another remote from another company, and check to make sure that they have a proper warranty and contact information as this is already the second replacement I've tried over the last 6 months. Might even go back to my OEM with the worn off icons on the buttons. Update: only power button works now, so two months is all this lasted even with the initial issue. Interesting enough, took it apart and found that the original samsung board fit into this remote, so used this remote as a shell replacement. I will say that the board of this remote is junk compared to the OEM samsung, but the shell is a great replacement for the OEM board for doing an update as the layout is perfectly the same as origional.

Happily surprised to see the remote working directly with my Sony Bravia KD-65X9000H, Remote RMF-TX500P. Most functions worked including Netflix and Google Play buttons even before pairing with TV. Voice control only worked after pairing.
