NO putrid chemical smell!
I recently had to replace my filters and like other reviewers, didn’t want to spend big money on the official ones. I tried a different brand prior to this one and it stunk up the whole house. I left it on for 3 days hoping it would air out, and never did so I searched for an alternative and found this brand. As soon as I changed it out, there was no more smell! So glad to have found this and at such a great price!

A fantastic budget option
I picked these up to replace the filters in a unit I got from work following the return to work after COVID. The filter worked perfectly but needed replacement media. After checking the options on Amazon, most options were of lower quality, all seeming to be from the same manufacturer.The reviews on these seemed to be good, and for the price and the ability to return them if needed, I figured it was worth a shot. Turns out these filters look like they're identical to the stock ones. They hold as much carbon as the stock filters do, if not slightly more (this could just be because the new ones haven't settled, but they look like the honeycombs are nearly full, as much or more than the originals).So far the output from the filter is way better than the originals (they were badly clogged and I didn't have a vacuum). There was the faintest hint of an odor up close to the machine when I first unwrapped them (I have a hypersensitive nose), but it didn't bother me and within an hour I no longer detected it. All in all I'm very very happy, and I might genuinely order an extra set just in case they change suppliers down the road.

Good HEPA filter
Used for do it yourself laminar flow hood. Works well. Just stay in the center, have air flow at a non turbulent level and you will probably see your contamination rates drop like me!

Mycology
This is a viable filter for mycology. It has successfully assisted in the creation of a budget laminar flow hood that has proven 100% effective in preventing contamination from affecting the over 100+ agar plates I've used over the last few months now.
