A bit bulky
Ive used two of these to cleanly wire 5v dash cams into cars. They do exactly as advertised but are a bit bulky and need a good sized area to be hidden in.

Wound up not using them but might need them in the future. I did bench test them and they worked as should.

Works well; older ones have years of on time
I have a couple of years experience with these Tobsun 12/24 to 5 VDC step down converters. I'm currently using one in a 9" tall replica of a 1959 Wurlitzer jukebox that lights up and plays music using a Pi 3A (See two attached pix). I also have one powering the sensors and electronics for a DIY home security system I built. Both have worked beautifully. So when I had a chance to acquire another, I took it. This one tests out fine under no load as you can see in another three of my photos. I tested it at 12, 18 and 24 volts DC, and as you can see on my meter the output was in the hundredths of volts over 5 VDC. I also tested it at 6 VDC input and my meter still showed 5 VDC output, but I expect there wasn't much current behind it. So this one tests out and two others I have have been working nonstop for one year and over two years respectively. It's hard to beat that. It's a good product.

Great for Electronics Projects
I have used three of of these DC/DC converters on 3D printer projects and I will keep coming back for more. So far my oldest one is over two years old and working great. The printers I build have 24VDC Meanwell power supplies and I use these to step down to 5VDC to power an SBC, Neopixels, and servos.The package provides several convenient mounting options to connect directly to aluminum extrusions.Make sure you have the correct size connectors for the terminals as they can be a little narrower than the standard hardware store options.I'm sure there would be a million other uses for this converter, but this seems to be a great product and gets a lot of use in this application for me.

Works very well.
Works great. Does exactly what it claims.I wired up this convert to a solar panel and it worked great.It converted the higher (about 22 volts) from the solar panel down to about 5.2 volts.Plenty of current at 5 volts to charge a cell phone or rechargeable LED light.I'm very satisfied with the performance and quality of this converter.I plan on using it in a "Solar Battery" project.

Great Power regulator for powering LED projects where you need both 5V and 12V ESP8266 Node MCU
This step down converter comes in handy if you are trying to run 12V LED light strings, but also need a 5V power source for your NodeMCU, Aurduino, ESP8266 boards, etc. Instead of a second 5V power supply for the board, you can tap your 12V power supply for the lights and then run 12V to this converter. This converter will provide you a steady 5V. If you have longer runs of LED light sets, it makes sense to use 12V LED's now that the prices are similar to the 5V LED's.
