SmallRig Extended Vertical Arm for DJI RS 3 mini, Extension Mount Plate for DJI RS 3 Mini - 4196

My camera with a cage attached was too top-heavy to be balanced on the rs3 mini. This arm extends enough to lower gravity without hitting the motor. The only complaint is that I couldn't tighten the knob entirely by default, and it kept slipping. But it was a simple fix with a hex key.

I wanted this to use the S5II with the DJI RS3 mini stabilizer. It worked, I was able to stabilize the camera with cage and 20-60mm, but feels weird, like it is too much for the motors. I would recommend buying the RS3 instead of the mini version.

Allows the RS3 mini to balance and use my Canon R5 with 24-70. Finally! Got the camermounting plate too, fast on and off.

I am using a front heavy lens but still well within the weight limits of the RS3 Mini. Many influencers mention this extended arm to help with balancing loads like mine. In order to get a good balance, I have to have the vertical arm pushed towards the back of the horizontal arm which makes the bottom of the vertical arm hit the rotation arm....that might be hard to follow so...see picture. This would likely be fixed if I removed the rubber covering that part of the arm which is why I'm giving this a 4 star instead of 3.

The extended arm is very well made and fits just like the original. I found that the extended arm actually made the balancing easier for the gimbal, and didnt hinder it at all. I also swapped to the smallrig arcaswiss QR mount for the RS3 so I could use my Camera Cage, and not have to remove it constantly. So this arm allows the camera to sit lower and balance better also. Overall great aftermarket addition to the DJI RS3 Mini

Clamp was too tight even when loosened completely and it scraped my new gimbal while trying to install it or remove it. I was considering returning the gimbal if i couldn't make my camera balance with this arm, but now I cant since there's a large mark on it now...thanks.

Este brazo fue la salvación de mi gymbal la verdad. Con el de fábrica no podía calibrarlo como toca porque me hacía tope, ya que lo estaba usando al límite de peso y se me calentaban los motores y se gastaba la batería muy rápido. En cambio, este brazo más largo de SMALLRIG me permitió calibrarlo a la perfección y apurar más el peso límite sin que sufra nada.
