Looks nice, silent, easy to install, and works well...
Overall I really like this heater. it is expensive compared to alternatives but it is nice to have it mounted on the wall and out of the way. It is pretty much silent with no fans or blowing noises. It heats well enough. We use it at night in the bedroom instead of heating the whole house and only need to turn it up to about the middle to keep it warm enough. It does have a but of an oder to it the first time you use it. I would recommend turning it on full for a few hours with the windows open and do it again once it has cooled off to get rid of the smell. Pros: - Compact and out of the way. - Looks nice. - Heats well for what it is. - Easy to install. - Simple controls. - Can be hooked up to a smart plug for auto on/off. Cons: - A bit expensive compared to traditional heaters. - Smells a bit the first couple of uses.

Worth every penny.
I wanted this heater for a basement area, and it has exceeded all expectations. It hasn’t raised my electric bill noticeably, and heats the entire 1000-sf area which is divided by walls.

does not put out continuous heat / switches itself off about 50% of the time
the thermostat knob and circuit board area might not be insulated properly. thermostat knob must be heating up and you hear it make a click, and heater stops putting out heat. Then it will be off for a couple minutes, and you will hear it click again and it will heat back up. This was confirmed with a outlet watt meter. you are basically getting an average of 500 watts, taking twice as long to get your space heated.

Still waiting til full winter to say for sure....
So I live in northern New England and it's November. So far the coldest it's been is in the mid twenties at night, 40s during the day. No snow yet. My home is a 196 sq ft tiny house. It's well insulated. This model does not have the phone app or remote, just the dial for settings from low to high (bars of varying thickness on the dial). Just understand this is SLOW, due to the nature of the type of heat. KNOW THAT. That is how it is designed - so don't give it one star because after 20 minutes the room was still cold. READ. It's quite flush to the wall - takes up very little space and you don't need major clearances around it - a big plus in a house as small as mine. Mounting was easy. **Make sure it's fully engaged on the hanging hardware. Be listening for that final solid "clunk"... or it won't start. It won't be able to detect that it IS hung on the wall. Again, READ. This is quiet. No blowing, no intermittent fan going on and off. It just makes a quiet tick, tick or very soft clunk as the plates warm up (or cool down in between heating cycles). I use a very small ceiling fan to help circulate the heat (Heat rises). So far I've had it at med-low and it's kept my cabin 62-65 (what I like). So my hope is that when it's ten degrees outside with the wind howling, it'll still keep my cabin at that temperature. The literature for the product said it heats a space up to 300 sq ft. And math-wise if you divide the number of square feet by watts - this should work. So far there's been minimal impact on my electric bill. Unlike my heat pump in my other house (900 sq ft) that was costing me 15.00/day in Jan/Feb. THAT cost me close to 3000.00 to purchase and install - even after a rebate. This costs less than 300.00. I'll get back and update when it does get that cold outside....

Great alternative and upgrade to the original Envi Wall Heater
We have a finished basement that runs 5-10 degrees cooler than the main and upper floors in our home. We considered various space heaters and also tested some hydronic baseboard heaters at first. All the various space heaters were noisy and loud, and the hydronic units made odd cracking and popping sounds when in use and also took up a lot of space. We decided to purchase the original Envi units and have been very happy with them. They're easy to install, absolutely quiet, help keep small areas warm and take up very little space. However our basement bedroom required more coverage so we thought about installing two Envi units there. Instead we saw the new Max unit and purchased it instead. To our pleasant surprise, the mounting points and size are exactly the same. I removed the original Envi unit and put the Max on in the exact same place. Voila! The Max has been more than enough and at 1000 watts, it doesn't have the same demands as the 1500 watt alternatives that are noisier and much bigger. I'd definitely recommend the Envi and the EnviMax units.

Perfect supplemental heat!
Silent, slow and steady heat. They are cool to touch which still amazes me! Wall mount was pretty easy but don’t get in a hurry. You’ll need a grounded plug for these, but that’s an easy change to make. We installed 1 Envimax in our liv room, 1 Envi in din room and 1 on sunporch. We have 1 Envi in each upstairs bedroom. We live in a home built in 1914 in the Midwest and this is supplemental heat to our forced air furnace which we keep low at night and kicks on a few times a day instead of running all the time. Keeps our home much more comfortable, the utility bill is lower, and the cost of the units is pretty easy to justify. Our walls are plaster with a satin finish paint and we have not had any discoloration problems. This will be our second winter season using Envi and we have not found any other type of heater we would have purchased instead.

These take TIME to work...
These are effective if you have LOTS of time to heat up a room. They're pretty cost-efficient but the price you pay is you may have to wait at least an hour before you feel their effect. I bought some timers so I can heat up rooms in advance. But I have to say, when I turn these on in the morning, by the time the room feels warm it's already warm outside.
