Alot of people complaining about handles not being strong enough. They are fine for getting in and out of pool. Don't know if they will hold up to the grandkids hanging and pulling on them but not sure any resin/plastic steps will hold up to my grandkids. First steps that came with pool lasted 3 years but for my pool and deck I like these better. The steps themselves are great. Easy to assemble. Ordering info said only good up to 250lbs but box they came in said 350lbs. They seem plenty strong. I didn't fill steps with sand as instructions showed because I have to put steps in and out by myself so I thought this would make them too heavy. I did purchase the weight jugs shown in the instructions and they hold the steps down just great and are easy to install and remove by myself. Bought the Hydrotools by swimline 87921 premium step weight system 2 pack which is a different brand but works with aqua select steps. Make sure to get a pool ladder mat to protect your pool liner.

We purchased the blue and white steps and installed them in early spring, so we have been using them for a couple of months. The steps are really sturdy and feel solid when stepping on them. No bounce from floating or movement at all. Each step has raised circles for traction. They were extremely easy to put together. The rungs on the side allow for water to pass thru which really helps keep the algae from forming. Getting the steps in the water was a little challenging, due to they wanted to float. There are holes in the pieces to allow for water to fill them up, so just take your time and allow the water to seep in slowly, so you don’t get air pockets. Once in the water, we tied a 50lbs sandbag to each side and placed them on a crossbar inside the steps. There is an option to fill frame with sand, but we already had the sandbags from previous steps, so we reused them.The only reason for a 4 star, is that the rails are not as sturdy. They have a lot of give side to side,Also, if the top step isn’t in the water, it does get really hot. If you don’t have a colored step, this probably isn’t an issue.

I absolutely love my new stairs! Would they be sturdy was a concern but also how far out they would protrude into the pool and I have to say I am so happy in both counts. They are very sturdy and take up less room than some yet you have a full step. Highly recommend.

These steps are not open on the sides to allow water to flow through. They do accept returns but it’s on your dime and you get to choose how you ship back a 55 pound box which is expensive anywhere you go. If you live in a rural area it’s not convenient at all!

LOVE LOVE LOVE these steps! We had steps that came with our pool but they were a hasel getting in and out of our pool before we had our deck. We continued to use them but they were on the slippery side. We wanted something wider and sturdier that had better traction. These are it!! I had seen other people mention these in my pool group and they were right to recommend them!! Easy to assemble and we love them!! Would 100% recommend these for your above ground pool!!

Steps look nice and are sturdy. The only reason I could not give four stars is because of the hand rails. The hand rails are not sturdy at all. If you were to lose balance and start falling left or right, these rails will not stop your fall. Would be better without the rails because these rails only give you a false sense of security. If sturdy handrails are not a must, then these steps are worth the cost. If you are older and require sturdy handrails to assist in maneuvering up and down steps, these are not for you.

Ordered these steps for our above ground pool. We previously had wedding cake steps so I was concerned about size and stability. There was no need for concern!!! We are so pleased with these steps. They are very sturdy and size is perfect. Steps are nice and wide. We put about 40-45lbs of sand in each side and had no issues with floating.

Steps were easy to put together, steps are sturdy, handrails are cheap and are not very sturdy, steps float at bottom step even after filling with water. Price was decent. Better than aluminum steps that came with pool. Buy weights when buying these steps.n
