Excellent - peace of mind for child on top bunk
I bought this as my eldest needs his own space, so my twins are back to sharing, meaning someone need to go on the top bunk a little earlier than I’d like. The mesh on this is deeper than other bedside rails we’ve had. It’s substantially longer and the fact that you can raise the height of the mesh side is excellent. You have the full height of the mesh from the mattress, rather than losing half of it, as with others.Secure fitting - it comes with screws to attach to slats or headboard. We opted for slats. Really pleased with this purchase - very sturdy

Not great if you have a divan type bed
The product would be good if I had a wooden bed that it can be screwed into however for a divan type bed it’s very flimsy as there is nothing to hold it in place. Also noticed the poles aren’t completely straight so I can’t do the mesh up on one end as it doesn’t stretch enough.

Be aware: not suitable for all beds…
I bought it for my son’s new hospital bed. It is ok-ish for the purpose, while I am awaiting proper guards from the O.T but I only gave it 3 stars because:- it is not suitable for every type of bed. My son’s bed has no wooden slates and no solid wooden base but metals grills/bars. I had to get creative to secure the rail (sturdy zip clips looped through the bars and where the rail would be screwed to the slates, tightly pulled that they can’t move). Fortunately, I only need to use the rail at times when my son’s feeding pump is running. The pros:1 - extends to about 1.94 in length, which is good. It covers the length of the bed.2 - The mesh means your child can see around and see you and the mesh is quite strong.3 - My favourite feature: you can lower the rail just on one side, head or feet if you wish. The rail is lifted or put down vertically, unlike usual bed rails where you have to let them hang down. It is also useful as you can have a side table without the need of moving it each time.4 - The pocket is quite useful: I store in it my son’s inhaler so I don’t need to look for it frantically when needed. The cons:1 - As I said, not for every bed base.2 - Also, the zips are not so strong and one side ripped as soon as I extended the rail to its full length. I had to repair it by sewing a piece of fabric on top of the zip. Honestly, the zips are useless and not really needed, IMO and I never use them. I don’t know they are there.3 - I found it difficult to put it together. I had to ask a friend.4 - I am not sure if it would be sturdy enough for an energetic toddler wanting out of bed. If they shook it strongly, the rail could lower itself and hop, one toddler out of bed.5 - a smart toddler could quickly work out how to lower the rail by watching an adult pushing the side buttons enough times. And hop, a toddler out of bed again. All in all, it is a good enough rail but nothing amazing. It also needs some improvements on the zip and maybe the manufacturers could think of a way for the rail to fit most bed types. Though they do the job, zip clips were not intended to secure a bed rail. Maybe add a full length bar that can rest on the majority of bases. For the price, it is not much to ask, so get your designers to think. This bed rail is not that cheap.

A good buy
Bought for my 5month old daughter, came with the said size, easy to assemble, good with the adjustable barrier. I didn’t fix it to our bed, but seems to be stable enough by placing the bars under the mattress for our girl who only rolls now
