I purchased this unit to replace my warn after it broke. The unit comes complete with everything you need including the bracket for the quad you are installing it on. The instructions are simple and easy to understand. An extra value is the winch comes with a pre-installed cable. all material is high quality and durable. The power cables and connectors are durable and rugged. The packaging is thought out and all parts are organized and labeled for quick identification when following the instructions for install.Recommendation. If you are replacing a winch on your quad like me, please remove all wires from your old unit and use all equipment that comes with this Superwinch. For a novice like me, it will take approximately 4 hrs to remove and replace all cables and components to get this winch operational on a Polaris Sportsman 500.Performance. After install, I used the winch to move a fallen tree. The winch is extremely powerful and I had to anchor down the quad due to the power of the winch. The added remote control unit comes in handy and adds to the safety of the unit when moving heavy things. The buttons are highly responsive and stops when you want it to stop. What i mean by this is, when you let go of the forward or reverse button, it stops immediately without delay. The size of the buttons are also large enough so you can operate the mounted switch and the remote with gloves.bottom line. This is a well put together package that exceeds my expectations. Its definitely the best value out there and the performance is exceptional.

I recently installed this winch on my Honda Rancher. The installation was relatively straight-forward, although the instructions were somewhat vague and omitted the installation of some components. Recommend a minimal knowledge of mechanical and electrical circuits prior to attempting installation. Only basic tools required. I have never installed a winch, but I'm a confident do-it-yourselfer with above average mechanical skills. I took my time to ensure everything was right and it took about 3 hours including unpacking, reading instructions, etc.On my first real ride with the winch, I basically buried my ATV in a thigh-high hole with extremely thick and marshy mud. It was even difficult to pull my foot out of this stuff. Because I was the lead guy, I did not want to go forward. So, I had my riding buddies attempt to pull me back using their two ATV's, each equipped with 2,000lb winches. I was stuck so badly that their winches were only pulling them toward me, even with their bikes pulling in reverse. Reluctantly, I decided to go forward and risk being stuck on the other side of the obstacle. I had to fully extend the cable to reach a solid tree. I hooked up my remote control and stood off to the side. Amazingly, the winch pulled my ATV out of the pit and nearly straight up a verticle wash. Next, I turned around and simply pulled both of my buddies through the obstacle and we all continued down the trail. I honestly did not expect ANY winch to recover my ATV given the circumstances. I was prepared to call for a tractor.If you install this thing right, it is a great piece of equipment.

Installed on my 2015 grizzly 700 EPS SE. has plenty of torque, enough to drag my 4 wheeler up a sand hill in the creek with the brakes locked effortlessly. the motor is nice and quiet and can barely hear it over the stock exhaust. the synthetic rope is great, but keep in mind it has to be cared for and cleaned. Wrapping it tight on the drum will keep the rope from burying itself when its put under a load. Just tie off to a truck and have a buddy lightly brake while you guide the rope on the spool. Either way its better than cable IMO despite not being as abrasion resistant. I highly recommend the Factor55 Prolink XTV. It is a way better option for recovery than the plain hook.The supplied 6 gauge wire was more than enough to run to the very back, if your 4 wheeler has a battery installed at the rear. on the Grizzly, the battery is under the front rack, so i had to cut 6 feet off every cable and crimp/solder new terminals to make a nice clean install. speaking of wiring its very simple and the solenoid and winch is color coated for which wire goes where.Pros: powerful motor, steel drum for synthetic rope, plenty of cable for installation, Quiet operation.Cons: Circuit breaker is not the best for mounting. its all exposed 12V on the body so you have to isolate it from coming in contact with metal. large heat shrink in a few layers will solve this problem. but i feel they could have supplied one with a plastic body instead. oh well, its an easy problem to fix.

Great winch. I previously had the same winch with a steel cable but it kept getting kinked and eventually stopped working. The synthetic rope version is definitely the way to go when looking for a winch. I was skeptical about the strength of the rope but it works great. I've pulled myself out of several deep mud bogs with no trouble. This winch is a great value for the money as compared to the much more expensive Warn winches.

Très beau matériel de construction solide reçu rapidement et très bien emballé.Seul bémol le montage des accessoires de branchement et de commande.Il faudrait spécifier qu'il est prévu pour montage sur un quad et non sur une remorque à bateau .

Produit de qualité, cordage textile très pratique.Fil de télécommande un peu court, sinon prévoir une télécommande sans fil en sus
