Not bad. Cup size is average. Needed a little more space, and I’m not all that impressive, if you know what I mean.Biggest problem is this moves around while in action, putting the jewels at risk of punching. Yikes.I wouldn’t buy this again. Twig and berries are left dangling, which means any sudden move puts the cup over some sensitive areas.And that would suck.Pay a little more and get the compression version.

My son got kicked square in the bean bag during a karate tournament. Shook it right off and went on the win the match.

My son is 6 years old and needed some new athletic undergarments for baseball. The size and feel of these shorts is good. They held up well in the wash. It was easy to take the cup in and out. There is no Velcro to close the cup in. There is a little fold over of material, and I found that very easy to use, and the cup stayed put just fine. My biggest complaints with these shorts are 1) On the bottom front of one of the legs, it says "Shock Doctor" in orange and gray lettering. This totally showed through my son's white baseball pants. He wore just the standard poly blend white baseball pants, nothing too thick. We didn't care that much, but an older boy might not like that. It did not show up through the gray or black pants. 2) The cup is way too big and protruding. While the actual shorts fit my son, the cup was ridiculous. It stuck out a LOT and looked really dumb. I just took the cup from his old shorts and slid it in this pocket, and that worked fine. But, if you don't already have a good cup that your son likes, this cup may be a problem. It's partly personal preference and feel and look, so your son might be okay with this cup. The tag says "Boys Small 7-8 Years, Fabric 1: 88% polyester, 12% spandex, Fabric 2: 100% polyester. My son is 48 inches and 50 lbs. and the size was just right. I washed in my machine. I was letting them air dry in the beginning, but they ended up in my dryer at one point and came out okay with maybe a little bit of shrinking.

As I said the protective underware will help me survive and that's the purpose I like cotton this stuff is nylon and moves around but ill get use to it I hope this is helpful .

My son wore the exact same cup with the briefs for probably 4 seasons. Now that he is older and has gone to the boxer briefs in everyday life, he asked me to get him boxer brief "cup underwear." I agree with the reviewers who say they aren't tight enough and the cup rides high. When he squats as a catcher I am not sure it is covering anything important. You could barely tell he was wearing a cup with the briefs. This looks like he is wearing a cod piece and he is always messing with it to try to get it comfortable. With the briefs he would forget he had it on. Very disappointed in what a step back this product is for Shock Dr. Compared to our previous experience watching him now reminds me of wearing a cup in the 80s.

My son is so happy with this product i 100 percent recommend this to everyone who plays sports

The only thing that I disliked about the shorts that they were to small for me.
