Perfect Fruit fly homes
Fruit fly culture perfection! Tons of room for large colonies The cups get flimsy if you’re pouring hot medium in them but if you cool them before popping the lid on, they’re sturdy

Perfect!
Purchased these to make my own fruit fly cultures. They arrived quickly and are just as described. Made a culture the day they arrived. And the fly’s are thriving! They are exactly what I needed for this. Now I can raise my own food for my spiders… and save some money!

THE LIDS DONT FIT.. aaand all your flies end up escaping. Dont bother buying
Unfortunately, I had made the fly cultures before test fitting the lids. Something I didn't think I had to do, however as you can predict, the flies just ended up escaping if I didn't have any weight on top of the lid to try to create some semblance of a seal. On top of that, the mesh fabric on some lids end up peeling away in the presence of a stiff breeze. Poor quality, poor construction, don't waste your money.

Okay for the money.
These cups work as intended. I have ordered these a couple times now and it is the same. The lids are the biggest issue. I put hot water in them when making fly cultures and the plastic becomes soft and when you are hurrying to close the container once the flightless fruit flies are inside the lid does not go on easily. During the process the containers will buckle and the some flies may escape. But after a few feedings the lid becomes easier to secure.

Perfect for reptile feeders
I have chameleons and geckos, so live bugs are a must. I bought these primarily to culture bean beetles for my neon day geckos, and these are perfect for it. Just fill it about two inches with black eyed peas, throw some bean beetles in and wait. They also work perfect for dubias roaches and silk worms. Pretty much versatile for any insects.
