Best value and operation i have found
I have tried several of this style of mechanical pencil. I like this one the best. the pencil works great, the sharpener works great and i love the scribe tool. I only have two problems with the whole thing. First the sharpener being in the case is a pain, as the clip holds well and you have to rip it out of your pocket to sharpen the lead. Two, the case itself. The pencil stick out really far and inside the case where the tip goes will break the tip of the lead off if you have it out far at all. I wish the case went deeper in your pocket and the pencil went deeper in the case. However it works better than the competition so for now i have found my go to pencil !

Compact and easy to use
Nice, compact, and easy to use. It's user-friendly for beginners. That's the quality and design. It's made of hard plastic. The included pen is okay. I haven't used it that much, but it worked for me. I think if a person takes care of their tools, that is something that could help it last and stay nice. But if you throw it all over the place and don't really care where it lands then it will break.

Great device
This is a great marking device. The pencil can be used on its own and it is the best I have ever worked for handyman or wood working tasks.

Good tool
Bought this for basically the scribe tool and it worked well. I'm sure I'll use it more down the road.

Pencil is Great! Scribing tool, not so much.
The idea is great and the pencil itself is great. The scribing tool leaves much to be desired. It doesn’t grip the pencil well enough to do much. Tried to use it to scribe some base and ended up drilling a hole in a piece of scrap. Tried to use it as a compass and the pencil just slipped in the holder.

Impossible to tighten the scribe tool tight enough to stop the pencil from moving. It wobbles and throws off your line. Kinda defeats the purpose of buying a specialty tool. Sad because I like the overall design. But one thing it can't do is hold other types of utensils like felt tipped markers so it falls short in that area compared to a competing tool. And yeah it's plastic so it will be a bit flimsy, but it does have a metal backing plate. Expected materials at this price point, but I suspect a lot of people looking for a tool like this would pay for a premium metal tool that would last a lifetime and actually holds a utensil firmly in place.
