Not attractive to my girls
As of today, maybe 2mo after purchase, the only beneficial item in this trio has been the DE, which I sprinkle about in my girls' dirt bathes and coop to deter mites. I have had no visible mite activity, so I'm assuming that it is working and I love that it is organic! The oyster shell and grit both seem too large to be attractive to my hens, but they are only 21wks, so perhaps they will gain attraction. Still, they are pretty much full grown, so my plan is to simply crush the oyster shell (possibly the grit, as well, but they are likely getting their share while foraging) into smaller bits and seeing if that helps. They do have calcium in their feed, however, so perhaps they do not have a need for the extra calcium. I will see once they begin laying. Unfortunately, I just learned that hens should not have supplemental calcium prior to the laying of their first eggs due to affecting kidney function, as well as a variety of other health concerns. That said, I might consider myself thankful that they are not touching the oyster shell! Again, I will update this review if I find that the girls start ingesting the shell, or grit, once they are laying.

and consistently am very pleased with what I receive
This review is for Scratch and Peck, more than the items, themselves. Any chicken owner knows the value of what is included in this kit, and you won't find higher quality than Scratch and peck. I use only their feed, and consistently am very pleased with what I receive. Fast shipping, awesome customer service, high quality ingredients. Yes, they are higher priced, but you are what your animals eat. I am vehemently against GMO's, so it's important that even my animals avoid them. If you're new to chickens, start here. You won't regret it.

Large, jagged fragments.
i have had chickens since the early 1970s. I have never seen grit or oyster shell fragments as large or jagged as these. It looks like they wanted to save money by not grinding them all the way to the proper size. The fragment size is much larger than feed pellets. I would not buy these again or recommend them to anyone for their flock.

Perfect Chicken Combination (^.^)
I have grown to love this company....these products seem to do the trick.....great grit for happy digestion.....the oyster shell that helps the ladies' eggs come out nice and strong and the diatomaceous to spread around the coop, the feed and the nesting boxes, helping keep away the unwanted ticks & fleas. My only wish is that the shipping wasnt so steep BUT....these are all heavy products and shipping isnt cheap....so you do what you have to do.....have a great day!

Happy Chickens for sure
It was great to be able to buy these three things all at the same time. The packaging is sturdy and the price is excellent. I love Scratch and Peck Feeds, they make excellent products for chickens that I feel good about giving my girls. What you put in your chickens is what you'll get out of them, so if you use products from a company like Scratch and Peck, you'll have confidence that you are feeding the best to your chickens, and by extension, yourself.

Best organic bundle!
I love this bundle!!! I got it because one of my chicks was looking a little under the weather and I wanted herbs to boost her immunities. I also needed grit, so when I saw this bundle that had both and some added raw food, it was worth the shot. Scratch and peck is now my go to for everything chicken, their products are definitely worth the extra bucks!

All you need are hens and feed, now...
A great starter kit for those with just a few hens. Hens need calcium and the oyster shell has long been the preferred form of supplement, as one has to sterilize the shells to feed them back. They also require grit to digest their feed, and the DE is wonderful for preventing parasites.

Happy Hens,
I really appreciated this being offered on Amazon. It saved me a long trip to a farm store. The DE put down first, then mini wood flakes or smooth wood shavings about 3-4 inches make the odor gone and make happy hens! And beautiful fresh eggs!
